The twins giggled and pulled their parents through the shopping mall to go find gifts.Marc smiled at Joseph and they split up. Marie and Lilly had already gotten gifts for everyone, so they just did some shopping for themselves.
Joseph looked around and found Marc a pair of pants and a long sleeve tee - the kind he likes- and went off to find Marie and Lucy gifts. He had already picked out two stuffed bears for the twins, and for Marc's parents he got his mom stud earrings and his dad a pair of funny socks.
Marc on the other hand found a fluffy blanket for Joseph because he loved them; a locket with his smiling face in it for Marie, earrings for Lucy, his mother a certain perfume, and his father coffee. The twins gift was shared between Marc & Joseph.
Joseph was sitting at the cafe they were all going to meet up at, and sipping coffee. It was a few days before Christmas and he admired the decorations. The snow was white as can be and looked so fluffy. He sighed knowing back in Cali they would be having a sandy Christmas. His mother had just sent him a text saying they would send the presents when he got back to school.
"Hey babe, have you seen my siblings or parents?" Marc asked kissing his cheek and reading the texts quickly. "Jesus Christ don't do that! Oh and no I haven't. I bet Marie is lugging all her things here and the twins got distracted though." He answered smiling and shutting off his phone.
"You are probably right. We are such a handful. I think my parents would rather have you as a child." Marc said winking and sitting next to him. Joseph laughed, "Nah, they love you. Unlike my parents. You saw the text right. Not even a 'happy birthday'." Joseph sighed and leaned against Marc. "Hah, well we have cake when we get back hun." Marc said playing with Joseph's blonde locks.
"Yeah I guess." Earlier that day they had a small birthday party and he got small gifts. He asked for them, he didn't really like birthdays. He also didn't like that it was so close to Christmas. That's why every year he asks for people to bring small gifts; not big ones. He smiled and Marc waved over Marie, who was in fact carrying a large amount of bags. Lilly was trailing behind her. "Pay up." Joseph said giggling. Marie sat down, "I got some new clothes for you two. Joseph I know you said no big presents but I found some cute new outfits."
Joseph blushed and they chatted waiting for the twins and Mr & Mrs. Ander. When they finally showed up the twins here giggling and their parents looked tired. "They took us around the entire mall finding cute toys and such." Mr. Ander said smiling tiredly. "You guys find everything alright?" Mrs. Ander asked and the four of them nodded. "Alright then; to the car." Mr. Ander said and they all grabbed their stuff and walked to the car. The next few days went in a blur; decorating the Christmas tree and relatives coming into town.
Finally Christmas Eve came and Joseph flopped on Marc's bed. "Jesus I'm tired." He mumbled and Marc chuckled, snapping a picture and sitting beside him. Joseph grunted and wrapped his arms around Marc's waist. "Hun, we can't do it tonight, my cousins are over." Marc said sighing. "Yeah I know. We can still make-out though." Joseph answered sitting up and pulling his arms from Marc's waist and straddled Marc, resting his chin on Marc's shoulder.
"Babe I'm gonna get a boner." Marc said and Joseph giggled. He sucked on Marc's neck leaving a hickey. "M'kay I'm done." Joseph said satisfied. Marc just shook his head and chuckled. "You really don't take no for an answer, also we gotta change into something nice. Family dinner." Marc said.Grabbing Joseph and pulling him; he sucked on his throat, leaving a dark hickey against Joseph's pale complexion.
"There. I got you back." Marc said smiling and Joseph pouted as Marc got up, and changed into a nice black dress shirt and pants. "Get dressed Joseph." Marc said as Joseph got up and changed into a white dress shirt and black pants. "Didn't expect your family to be fancy." Joseph said as Marc started taking out his earrings. "It's cuz my grandma is here. We have a nice dinner Christmas Eve night; then on Christmas we have a feast." Marc's eyes sparkled at the last part.
"Okay let's go." Joseph said after Marc put on his shoes. They walked downstairs and went into the living room. Marc's many cousins were there; all ages. They narrowly missed hitting two young children running around. "These kids make Theresa and Angie look like angels." Marc whispered in Joseph's ear and he giggled. "Yeah." He answered. Marc's parents were talking with Mr. Ander's brother. Marie and Lilly were waving them over to a couch. "Ok so we think that if we just go hide somewhere, the children can't find us." Marie said to them as soon as they sat down. "We get Theresa and Angie to bring us food and we don't have to socialise-" Marie stopped noticing the hickey's on their necks.
"Jesus you guys can't make it one week." Marie said shaking her head but was cracking a smile. Lilly giggled but Joseph noticed a faded but still visible hickey on both of their necks. "Hmmm. Neither can you apparently." Joseph remarked and Marie playfully hit him. They chatted until Marc's cousin a year older than all of them came over. "Hey Nickolas what do you need?" Marc asked and Nickolas smiled, "Who are these two?" He asked and Marc raised his eyebrows. "They are very taken." Marc answered and Marie nodded. "Oh I can tell. I just want you to introduce me to them." He said tapping his neck and Joseph blushed.
Lilly just smiled. "I'm Lilly Wu. Pleasure to meet you." She said holding out her hand for him to shake. He smiled, "Back at you. I'm Nickolas Kelly." He turned to Joseph, "You are?" He asked. "Oh I'm Joseph Byrne. Pleasure to meet you." He said and shook Nickolas's hand as well. "Nice to meet you all but I must get going." He said his goodbyes and went to talk with other people.
Joseph started fidgeting with his hair; it was up in a bun to be more formal. "Babe, you can take it down if you want." Marc whispered in his ear, and Joseph quickly pulled out his hair-tie; letting his long platinum blonde hair down. "I love how straight your hair is. Yoou are super lucky." Lilly said and Joseph smiled. "Yeah I can still brush my hair without it becoming a frizzy mess. I'm glad I can curl it if I want though." He answered.
They chatted until it was time for dinner. Everyone moved toward the spacious dining room, children at one table and adults at the other. "I can't believe we got put at this table." Marie fumed and rolled her eyes at the adults. "I say we get out of here." Marc said, a twinkle in his eye. They all agreed and grabbed their plates. They quietly left and went to Marie's room.
Hers was drastically different. For one it was messy with clothes strewn about. The second was that it had a blue theme. Marc sat on a chair and they chatted having fun until their parents found them. "Good hiding guys, but you need to come out. Now." Mr. Ander was a little annoyed at them leaving but nonetheless; it was a boring party. The rest of the evening went as followed
They had dessert.
They hid.
Everyone went to their rooms.
The twins, Marc, Joseph, Marie, Lilly and their parents stayed up a bit to clean. When they finished cleaning Joseph went upstairs to take a shower. When he came out all he had on was sweatpants. Marc smiled at him and went to take his shower. They climbed into bed and were excited for the day ahead of them.
