Born in a small city at the outskirts of civilization, Etna Ogdon, a young woman twenty one summer's old is hidden from the war between the kingdom of Asark and the rebellion. Illegally roaming free outside the army of Asark she must hide her true identity to the world and has done so until now. When she witnesses the Jaws of Asark slaughter one of her kind, fleeting from the army, she decides it is time to come out of hiding, leaving her city, safety and father behind to find truth of her people, whom are divided, desperate and bloodthirsty.
