Once Rusty was fully on his feet he tried to run past Sabbath, who was now laughing so hard that his eyes were closed and it was starting to look like he was crying as well. Just as Rusty thought to himself that maybe he wouldn’t have to fight as he was in front of Sabbath about to pass to Sabbath’s left, Sabbath stopped laughing, opened his eyes and backhanded Rusty with the hilt of his sword. Even through Rusty’s helmet, the blow hurt, if he wasn’t wearing it then the attack would have probably broken his jaw.
“Did you think it would be that easy?!” Sabbath yelled in an angry tone while also laughing, “I brought you here to die!” he said as he lunged at Rusty with his sword. Forming a blood hand to dig into the ground behind, Rusty threw himself backward, narrowly avoiding Sabbath’s strike while also getting himself to his feet.
Once Rusty was stable he looked at his position, in front of him was Sabbath who was only a few meters away and looking as though he was about to attack again, to his left was Northguard in the distance.
Rusty then proceeded to release a large amount of the blood in his armor to create a catapult pointing in the direction of Northguard.
As Rusty jumped into the blood catapult Sabbath, who was almost there, shouted out in anger and sent icicles flying at the catapult, but by the time they hit and destroyed the catapult Rusty was already flying through the air towards Northguard. Although Rusty knew wouldn't reach Northguard in this one jump, he figured that he could at least put some distance between himself and Sabbath. As Rusty grew closer to the ground he shot a blood arm into the ground and used it to stable himself and slow himself down as he slowly brought himself to the ground. After touching down on the ground he took a second to catch a breath and then turned to see if Sabbath had started chasing after him, which to his surprise he saw Sabbath sliding at an incredibly high speed on a trail of ice that wasn’t there before, straight towards Rusty. Out of panic, Rusty tried to take a step back to find out that the ground he was standing was ice as he slipped and fell to the ground.
As he groaned in pain Rusty looked straight up as he was on his back to see a large iceberg directly above him. Using his blood he quickly made another catapult which shot his once again, although much closer to the ground this time, towards Northguard as he narrowly avoided being crushed. As he flew through the air close to the ground, it only took a few seconds before he began to hit the ground, causing Rusty both a large amount of pain and to ragdoll so uncontrollably to the point where he could no longer stop himself. After a few seconds of rag-dolling through the air Rusty smashed into a wall, coughing blood the moment after impact.
There was a rather large impact crater on the wall that Rusty had hit, and as he slid down to the ground unable to move his body, he did what he could and assessed what he could from his current position. Based on the feel and texture of the wall he believed that he was at the edge of Northguard and that the wall he had smashed into was that of one of the houses. Rusty currently wasn’t able to move any part of his body other than his eyes, although he could still use his ability and the pain was immense, Rusty thought to himself that he would most likely die soon. Thanks to having to make a second catapult even faster then the first, he was almost out of blood and barely had enough to keep his suit of armor full, so he decided to instead have it condense back into a glove on his right hand. As Rusty sat in the cold awaiting death to come for him, he heard footsteps and raised his eyes to see Sabbath approaching with a smile.
“Can’t even maintain your armor anymore eh?” Sabbath said as an icicle sped from behind him into Rusty’s chest, causing him to cough up more blood, “Don’t worry about that, it didn’t hit a vital spot,” he said taking a step forward then grabbing Rusty’s hair and forcing him to look at Sabbath, “No cry of pain at the tug or your hair eh? Of course not, there wasn’t a reaction from the icicle either other than a cough,” After saying that, Sabbath let go of Rusty’s hair and punch him where the icicle was stuck, causing Rusty to cough more blood. Everything was starting to go fuzzy for Rusty, he was ready for death and probably would have already died if he wasn’t so pissed at Sabbath for ending his life so early on.
Sabbath unsheathed his sword and began to talk, “Once you're gone, my people will be avenged! Although I wanted you to suffer more, I want to finish you myself before you finish blee-” but in that moment an entire arm appeared on the left side of his face and punched him square on his right cheek, Sabbath deciding to play it cautiously, instead of cutting off the arm that had appeared, instead cut off the skin that the arm was attached to and then reached for snow to wash his face off.
As Rusty sat and watched the whole ordeal take place he thought to himself that if he was gonna use his ability, now was the time. As he tried to use his ability he found that his blood was scattered all over the area on the ground, connected to his skin from his wounds.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
“It must’ve been from when that guy slapped me earlier,” Sabbath said rubbing hi face with red snow from the ground, “I’ll go ki-” Sabbath stopped mid-sentence again, but this time it was because of the several crimson spikes that were stabbing his body. As Sabbath cough up blood he looked down to see the spike’s coming from the red snow, which he followed to the almost dead barbarian leader, “You-” he said after which coughing up more blood, ”How?!” he said as everything quickly started to become fuzzier and numb, there was no doubt about it, the spikes had hit a vital spot, most likely several as he couldn’t even tell how many spikes there were as they twisted and turned around his body, it could’ve very well been only one spike. As everything faded to black for Sabbath he took one last look at the man who had killed him, who he knew would die shortly after him, completing his revenge, But as Sabbath went to look at the dying man he saw not a man, but instead, a boy who couldn’t have been older than nineteen. Sabbath couldn’t believe his eyes, what had he done? Who was the boy? Based on the fact that to him just a moment ago the boy and everyone he’d come across had looked like barbarians, but now that he believes that he's had completed his vengeance it was as if he could see again, and he wasn’t sure how many people who weren’t barbarians he'd killed, but he knew he wouldn’t like the answer. His last thoughts as he looked at his sword were, “Was I even worthy enough to carry this?” and then for Sabbath, everything went black.

“We’re here! Northguard!” Chase said loudly.
“We can see that Webs,“ said the captain to Chase.
As they approached the town Chase spotted a smoke of black smoke in the distance near the edge of the town to their right, “Captain! There’s some smoke over there!” Chase said pointing towards the smoke, “Should we go see what it is?”
The captain thought about it for a second then said, ”Chase, you and me will take Fanari to the temple while Cloud and Boomer will go check out the smoke.”
Chase was disheartened about the news, he was hoping to go see what the smoke was as boredom had been eating at him almost the entire trip back to Northguard as Boomer and the captain were talking to Fanari most of the time while after Chase started leading the way Cloud kept complaining that Chase was gonna get them lost, which really annoyed Chase and really didn’t help his boredom.
As Cloud and Boomer started walking in the direction of the smoke and the captain and Chase started walking towards the temple, the smoke of smoke simply disappeared.
“Well that’s odd,” Chase exclaimed.
“What is?” asked the captain.
“The smoke,” Chase said pointing in the direction of where the smoke was, “It's gone.”
“If it was a fire then it must’ve simply been put out, but that just means that Cloud and Boomer should hurry up and get there.”
Chase feeling as though that wasn’t the case, agreed anyways as he knew better than to argue with the captain. As the three of them approached the temple they were stopped in their tracks by a wall of ice, “Was this here when we left?” the captain asked.
“That’s a rhetorical question right?” Chase asked with a hint of concern in his voice, “Come on,“ he said motioning towards an alley between houses to his right, “Let’s just go around.”
After going around the wall on the other side they found the window next to the wall of ice they had to go around shattered as well as one of the large temple doors along with a large block of ice indented into the side of the building across from the temple’s entrance. The group headed into the building to find Lawrence lying on one of the temples benches with Taste pacing the hall and Pause sitting next to Lawrence reading a book.
“What happened?” the captain asked, to which Pause almost said something but then instead called for Taste and told him to explain what had happened.
“It was horrible, some guy came into the temple and when I tried to talk to him to see if he was okay he tried to kill me, then Lawrence ported to me and, well,“ Taste continued to tell the story and then he got to the part where Lawrence told him to run, “He told me to run with the intangibility blood, but...but I couldn’t just leave them knowing that by the time I had gotten you here they would’ve been dead, so I went to find Pause in the temple for her help, and, well I found her ready near the back of the building, and when we got back to where the others were Pause gave Lawrence some of Donors blood and he healed rather quickly,”
“If he healed quickly then why is he unconscious?” Chase asked.
“Because he’s stupid,” Pause spoke from her seat, “It took him a while to wake up after being healed but the moment he woke up he reattached an arm that was cut off during the battle using his ability, which I told him he could do later because with his ability he could do it later, and overuse of your ability can knock you out in that condition, but he then proceeded to grumble about being pissed at the guy he fought and then said something about still having blood on the guy, then he used his ability again to punch the guy that he fought earlier, which then, in turn, knocked him out, as I had predicted it would. As I had stated, he is like this because he is stupid.”
“Well, he may be pretty smart at times, but man is he an idiot,“ Chase said softly to himself.
“Captain!” Came a shout in the distance from outside, “Captain!” Shouted Boomer who was now panting at the door covered in snow, meaning he probably tripped on his way here, “Captain come quick, we found something!”
