He set the body down,
Giving it to the ocean’s
Cool hands
And watched it
Drowned.
The body sank
Simmered,
Shuttered
As water
Entered its dead corpse,
Filling it with life.
The red rope
Untied,
The brown sack
Released
And the child inhaled.
As she slowly
Fell to the bottom of the ocean,
Her body changed.
She no longer had brown
Mortal hair
But hair as golden as the sun
He loved.
Her legs,
Glued together,
Creating a pastel
Pink fin,
Decorated in pearls
Fueled with the ocean's heart
And
Large eyes
That glimmered
Like diamonds.
She was once again,
Alive.
And he made her
Beautiful.
