(Told from Jenie’s view)
I woke up with a throbbing shoulder and the Avilie curled up under my blanket with me. I flung myself off of the bed when my brain caught up with me. “Shit!” I hit the floor injured should first. “Ow!” The Avilie jumped down next to me. She curled into my side and purred into my neck. I freaked, “What are you doing?! Get away from me?!” I pushed her away from me and backed up until I hit a wall. She sat on the floor staring at me with hurt puppy eyes. No. Don't look at me like that…… Her eyes started to tear up. I jumped up and ran over to her. “Hey. Don't cry. Im sorry.” I felt guilty. Like felt like I just kicked a hurt puppy. A tear rolled down her face. I threw my arms around her and hugged her. “See. Its okay. Don't cry. I'm sorry I pushed you.” She sniffed and wiped her eyes off with the blanket. I noticed her clothes. She was wearing torn up jeans and a dirty oversized hoodie. “Give me a minute. I'll get you a set of clothes.” I rummaged through my closet and found an oversized lilac sweater and a pair of black jean shorts. They would be a couple sizes to big for her but it would do until I got something else. I sat down I front of her, “The shower is in the room behind you. Put these on when you're done. I'm going to go down stairs and make breakfast. I'm also going to call in sick to work so I can stay with you for today. When you're done come down stairs and Ill help comb your hair.” She nodded. I got up to leave but she grabbed my hand. She whispered “Stay?” I sighed. “What's your name?” She just looked at me, “Name?” She seemed confused on what I was asking her. “How about I call you Ava.” Ava was the name of my pet goldfish. But i'm not gonna tell her that. She thought it over and nodded. “Alright Ava it is. I'll wait here for you. Then we'll go make breakfast.” She smiled at me and I almost had a heart attack. She’s adorable.
