Chapter - 12
"The hell, Alex." Hayden said gritting his teeth.
Alex turned his face to look at Hayden and quirked his eyebrow at him. "What?" He said tilting his head.
Hayden walked towards the bed. "I waited for two, two whole hours at Shaw's and you're lying here, talking to this nerd?"
Ouch.
"I waited for you, for one hour! I called you a zillion times. Why didn't you pick up?" Alex said.
"You waited for one hour? I got there at 1 p.m sharp." Hayden's eyes were burning holes into Alex.
"Nuh- uh! We were supposed to meet at 12 p.m. sharp." Alex said pulling out his phone from his pocket. He scrolled through their messages and held out the phone for Hayden to see. Hayden slapped his forehead and said, "That says 1 P.M.! Can't you read?"
Alex brought the phone to his face and squinted, "Sorry, my bad!" He said with a laugh and turned his attention back to me.
Watching this scene play out right in front of me was kind of funny, I too let out a tiny laugh.
"So, what were we talking about?" Alex asked me smiling.
Before I could say a word, Hayden grabbed Alex by his collar and pulled him off the bed. Alex landed flat on the floor with a thump!
"We have things to do, you numbskull!" Hayden yelled at Alex who was lying dead on the floor with zero movements.
"Not this again." Hayden was clearly annoyed with his bestfriend but I couldn't help but look at Alex as a mischievous and adorable kid with a malicious smile playing on his lips.
Hayden grabbed Alex's ankles and started pulling him out of the room. Alex jerked awake and grabbed the carpet with his hands; futile attempts as I saw it.
"No, Jake! Save me."
I couldn't help but laugh again and closed the door behind them.
Owing to Alex, my mind had been relieved from the disturbing thoughts from the night before and I was in much better shape.
The remaining of my worries were allayed by a phone call from Kayla. We were laughing about stupid things when a knock interrupted my phone call.
“It’s open!”
“Hey.” It was Hayden.
My face which had been happy just a second ago no doubt wore a sour look right now.
“What?”
“We’re having a party tonight, something wild. Are you okay with that? Your room will of course be off limits.”
“If I am not, will you cancel it?”
Hayden’s grip tightened on the door knob. “You..” He said gritting his teeth. “Of course, I will. Alex will make me.”
I scoffed and said, “Do whatever, it’s your house.”
Hayden slammed the door behind him and I continued my conversation with Kayla.
After that, time just flew by and I hadn’t taken notice until loud music almost made me lose my auditory senses.
The party was on.
Worst day, ever.

So my chances of getting into a good university are now, ZERO! It has been a really stressful time, especially since I had been working so hard for this. Thankyou for understanding.
