The next day.

At breakfast we have, you guessed it, fish. And it was not that Quade hated me (I don’t think) for what I started last night. “That was fun.”

“Yeah, let’s do it again sometime.”

“Yeah.”

“I’m still surprised you didn’t break.”

“Next time you’ll have to start on top.”

Then a barrel washes up on shore. It was really big like it could hold multiple people. Then we hear banging and voices coming from it. “Help! Please we’ve been stuck in this barrel for a week, and we’re hungry!”

“Yeah like, feed us please,” another voice says. So we open the barrel, and guess what was in there. Two girls. Great. “Like, thanks cutie.” Quade and I exchange looks. We come to an agreement. The only time we would ever do anything with these girls is if we get older and we absolutely need to. So that’s four people living on this two acre hell. And we only have one ONE blanket. So we divide up the island they got the side w/the barrel and we got the side with the glass. There was a campfire right at the middle of the midline.

On the first night we sleep w/the blanket then the next they do, and I realize that we could have the blanket all to ourselves. “You know, we slept naked last night.” I say to the girls.

“Ok. And like by the way we have names you know. Aseliah (me) and Dessy (her).”

“Good for you. Now we want to know if you two are dating or not because you too are the only ones here who we think are not hooked up so don’t get any ideas because we’ve already done, things...”

“1) we are NOT dating, 2) we were interested but now, we think you guys are just weird.”

“Well if you’re interested in dating someone it’ll have to be with each other because we’re taken.”

“Like we care, we’re just friends ok?”

“Ok, if you say so but, if you want to be taken too you might want to consider it. We actually like living like this so if you want to get back in that barrel of yours and leave that would be fine.” Then I go and kiss Quade because we are still in the mood from last night. Then they turn around and gag. I snicker. “What?”

“Them, they’re funny.” Then we go hide behind the wall we made and talk and every few minutes make out for a few so it went like this:

Talk for five minutes.

Make out for ten.

Repeat.
