Alice heard the door shut and lock behind her, sealing her in her new prison. Alice tore the room apart looking for a weapon, a way to escape, anything that could have been useful to her. No drawer was left in the dresser, all the pillow were torn apart once she was done with the room. All that was left of the pillows were feathers floating lazily down. If Alice thought she would survive the jump from the window she would have broken the window and jumped out, but the King was not a fool he knew Alice enough to know she would try to escape when the chance occurred. This bedroom of red and black was Alice's new cage and though it had better scenery she wasn't buying that it would be less threatening. Did choosing the Red King mean this? Alice decided right then that she did not want the King at all, not as a friend, nor a comrade. She will use him to escape, Alice had to escape.
Sometime in between tearing up the bedroom and waiting for her capture to come back, Alice fell into a restless sleep. She was woken up by the King shaking her, "It is time love, come downstairs with me." As Alice rose from her sleeping position she felt heavier down by her legs. When she looked she had a dress on, not any dress, but a dress fit for a queen.
Before she could even question where her clothes were, the King turned to Alice and said “Now you can do this the hard way, or the easy way. You can choice but just remember you have countless guards you have to fight and you do not know how high you are. You could be on floor twenty-five or you can also be on the tenth floor, there is no way of telling in this madhouse.” The King paused momentarily “Or you can just follow me."
This was the chance, to see more of the castle, to make an escape plan. Alice quickly agreed to follow the King and as they exited the guards kept their heads down.
