“May I?” Izuku ponders for a moment then feels a smirk tugging at a corner of his mouth, dropping the phone on Todoroki’s extended hand before returning to his previous position. “Pretend you’ve just been running.” He instructs and Izuku snorts, quickly working up his breaths as he finally picks up the call on speaker. “Hello?” Todoroki answers with a deep, raspy voice.

“Uh—wha—hi? Where’s Izuku, did he lose his phone?”

“Ah, no. I think he’s a little preoccupied at the moment.”

Todoroki deadpans, raising his hand up in the air like he is waiting for a high-five. Izuku immediately understands his train of thought, going for the loudest slap he can manage while letting out a high-pitched cry.

“Oh my go—”

The call immediately cuts off and Izuku dissolves into uncontrollable laughter, falling onto his side as Todoroki’s shoulders shake in time with his own contained chuckles.

“I’m going to get an earful about that on the way home, but dear god, it’s going to be worth it!” Izuku chokes out between giggles.
