Chapter 18

Kurono continued to stare at Jinx as they walked.

“I'm sorry… I should have come to find you sooner….the fates said its best to wait until our soulmates are around 18 before we approach them.”

“It's not like its your fault.” Jinx grumbled.

He was sure he hadn't made him have this annoying power thing.

“In a way it is though.” Kurono winced.

Jinx turned at him and blinked.

“What do you mean?”

Kurono hugged the tiger to his body as he looked guiltily at Jinx.

“Remember how I said our souls are connected?”

Jinx slowly nodded.

“That was half a truth and half not.”

“What do you mean?” Jinx asked in confusion.

“Your soul…..started out as a fragment of mine.”

“Wha- what?”

“The fates wanted to make us soulmates ….to help us with our lust and loneliness issues. So to make a soulmate they asked us to give a small speck out our soul, not enough to damage us but to help make our soulmates soul.”

Jinx frowned at him.

“But I am nothing like you?” Jinx snorted out and rolled his eyes.

Kurono gave him a sad smile.

“It was just a fragment, enough to tie us together…. just some energy. Our energy is the same type which only happens between soulmates, it's not like our personalities would be the same. That sort of thing comes into play with genetics, or experiences. You were made so I could love you and I hope that you will do the same after some time.” Kurono nodded softly.

Jinx glared at him.

“Im sorry but right now your “Love” only looks like lust to me. And I was only made for you to love me? Its as if you were saying that the only reason for my existence is to love you back you just worded it in that way hoping I wouldn't notice.”

Kurono’s eyes widened.

“Im …. I'm not saying you have to love me I….I am just hoping you will one day.”

Jinx huffed and shook his head at the man.

“You literally know next to nothing about me other that what people may have told you. You are not in love with me because you don't know me! Your in love with the idea or me or my energy or whatever the hell it is!” Jinx growled and stalked off.

Kurono caught up again after a moment.

“I am sorry….” He whispered.

“What are you exactly sorry for? Sorry for making me think that way? Sorry for throwing all this crazy shit at me? Or are you sorry for making me?” Jinx hissed.

Kurono’s eyes widened even more as he looked at him. But before Kurono could say anything Jinx stepped over to where he believed he was about 2 blocks away from his house and as Kurono tried to follow he was pushed back.

Jinx continued to walk home and did not look behind him.
