It was a clear blue outside, the cloudless sky shining down on us in the afternoon glow. I took a moment to slowly breathe in the cool air, regaining some of my senses in the process.

We stood in front of one of the school’s auditoriums, the inside of which was already jam packed with a sea of people. During my last year, I had avoided this place like the plague. Why? Because she sang here.
