Coming in, you would assume that it was a professional concert rather than a school recital. Actually, that’s wrong. Though it might be a school recital, it was not just any school recital.
It was Minami’s school recital.
There were cameras everywhere, the lighting done perfectly to compliment both the size of the auditorium and the bright weather outside. Rather than cheering the crowd stood silent, waiting in awe to hear her sing.
The curtain opened, and she appeared.
‘She’s so beautiful,’ Jason whispered. Looking at her, I couldn’t deny his statement. She wore a long white dress, its simplicity and elegance making her dazzling to behold. Though she never wore make-up, her full lips and glistening eyes would have made anyone who didn’t know better swear that she did. I’d always admired that beauty, and probably always will.
My feelings still haven’t changed.
‘Welcome, everyone!’ she said, her melodic voice filling their ears, ‘I hope you enjoy the performance!’ She scanned the crowd, a dazzling smile on her lips. Before I could regain the sense to hide myself, her eyes came over me.
And froze.
