Ava was so happy. She wanted to see everything at once. Since it was Monday most people were at work during this time so it wasn't as crowded as usual. Which didn't mean much Disneyland was packed constantly. The second we got there she was rushing around like a kid. I had to hold on to the back of her shirt to keep from losing her. A gift shop with an assortment of mickey ears caught her eye and she dragged me into the store. I was happy with the break and stood under the air conditioner as Ava ran around. A looked at an ear headband that reminded me of Ava. It was a black headband with a giant bow on top. The bow was light pink with white dots and the entire thing was covered in glitter. Suddenly Ava came rushing back and put a headband on my head. She stared at me in excitement. I took it off and examined it. It was a black headband with leather ears that were patterned into diamond shapes with white beads decorated in the shape of Mickey's head topped off with a simple light pink bow. I looked at Ava’s excited face and sighed. I couldn't say no to that face. “Ill were this if…” I took the pair of ears that reminded me of Ava and put them on her head, “You wear these.” She nodded a yes. “Alright let's go pay for these. Then we'll go get some ice cream.”
