Lexy watched Madam Vile with anger in her eyes. Madam Vile had been torturing her for the past five minutes, ten minutes, twenty minutes. Lexy didn’t know anymore.
“I’ll ask once again. Where is your kingdom? You need to give it to me or...” she said raising her hand.
Lexy flinched away, but still, she defied her. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. And I can’t give you something that I don’t know exists.”
“You foolish girl. Seeing does not mean believing,” Madam Vile said swooping closer to her.
“I’m sorry. But I don’t believe that.” Lexy felt Christine’s sarcasm flowing through her.
Madam Vile was in Lexy’s face now. “But you are alone. How can you keep going?” She had seemed to have said it to herself but Lexy had heard her. Madam Vile suddenly broke out into a large grin. “If you give it to me I will bring everyone back.”
Lexy leaned back in shock. Then she realized that Madam Vile must be tricking her.
“You can’t bring back people who are dead.”
Madam Vile laughed. “You think that I killed them. No. I asked if they wanted to stay with you and they didn’t say yes. They left you.”
“They would never do that!” Lexy screamed at her, but there was a hint of doubt in her voice. “They wouldn’t do that, right?”
“Wrong,” Madam Vile said, seeming to have read Lexy’s mind.
“Let’s just stop playing with her mother,” Raven said pushing herself off the wall. Madam Vile glared at her.
“Patience my dear. I’ve almost cracked her.”
“You have not!” Lexy yelled defiantly.
“Quit talking back and disrespecting your elders!” Madam Vile screeched. She walked closer to Lexy.
“I’ve had enough of your sass,” Madam Vile raised up her hand, and it began to glow black. She brought down her hand down, and everything went black. The last thing that Lexy heard was Raven.
“Good job, Mom. You’ve knocked her out.”
