One of my friends raced up to me at lunch looking out of breath. “Your girlfriends getting beaten up!” I ran. I ran toward the crowd and pushed through it. “Move!” When I managed to get to the center of the chaos I saw my girlfriend get punched by one of the many popular girls. I jumped between them, “Hey! What do you think you're doing?! Has that hairspray fried your brain?!”

The girl hissed at me, “I'm doing the world a favor and kicking her ass!” I stood up straighter and hissed right back, “Why don't you try that on me.” She cracked her knuckles, “Gladly.” She threw her hand back to slap me. But before she could I sucker punched her in the face. She fell to the ground unconscious. I spun around and possessively picked up my girlfriend. Without another word I carried her to the nurse.
