Chapter 7

The men brought him a change of clothes and some medication to put on his wounds. They also attempted to make him change his boots but he refused saying they were his favorite pair.

He put on the new clothes and rubbed the fabric against his hand.

It seemed…. expensive compared to his cheap and worn out clothing.

Jade pulled on the black dress jacket, he ran his hand up into his bangs, pushing them above his head and sighed before letting them fall back down.

He went back into the dining room where Ryuu was still passed out on the floor and shook his head at his silliness.

The door opened suddenly and the General walked back inside. He bowed his head, still holding the crystal ball.

“Prince Jade we have prepared a carriage to take you to your destination, the capital to meet our King.”

Jade blinked.

“What do you mean to meet your King?”

“You came to our Kingdom to meet our King finally correct?”

Jade blinked again but he forced himself to grin.

“Uh...sure…”

The General nodded and turned around.

“We will be ready to depart within the hour.”

Jade frowned after he left.

Well…. At least I didn't promise to meet this so called King, he thought and smiled at Ryuu.

He was 100% ok with using these guards to get him to the capital seeing as he had no idea where it was.
