~~~
I was not expecting last night to go as it did. I don’t know if I gave off any mixed signals to anyone, but Jenny messaged me a few hours after she left; I had given her my number. Given her line of work, I thought she wanted me to be a customer, though she quickly corrected that. She wanted to get to know me better, she said. It could have been me reading to much into it but it sounds like a proposition to date. I didn’t reply. Not yet. Evan left in the middle of the night, though he did leave a note. Thank you, he wrote. He could have stayed until morning, I would have fed him. But so be it. I don’t know if it was a dream, something I imagined, or something else, but there is a lingering feeling of something soft on my cheek...
