Marc smiled and sipped his drink. "We have to go on soon Marc. Don't drink." Their manager said as Joseph walked in. Roy was practicing on his drums while Nina worked on the bass. Roy winked at Joseph who just flicked him off. He walked over to the couch and grabbed the drink from Marc's hand, quickly finishing it.
"HEY." Marc yelled but Joseph just smiled at him and went over to his guitar. Marc flicked him off and let out a string of swear words. Someone knocked on the door, "You guys are up." They yelled back and got ready to go one stage. There were loud cheers as they walked out onto the stage.
Marc waved while Joseph just rolled his eyes. Nina poked him and he bit back a string of swear words. "Yes?" He snapped. "Uh, your mic is on." She said quietly and he cussed. "Looka that, their braiiinnnsss are ruined." He drawled, covering the mic. She rolled her eyes and Roy yelled at them.
"Joseph, we all know you hate this. Just shut up." Nina whispered and he flicked her off. "Yaknoww whattttt." He slurred, he had more than two strong drinks. Nina swore under her breath and gave him a bottle of water. "Don't kill your liver." She said and the first song started.
Marc's voice was what everyone came for. Joseph rolled his eyes as there were screams and 'I love you's.' He started playing his guitar at the signal. Personally he thought that a guitar was harder than singing if you aren't naturally gifted like Marc was.
After the first song ended, Joseph put his guitar down and walked off stage. He wasn't needed for most of the songs. He sighed and sat on the couch, bored. There was a small knock and he yelled for them to come in. "Yes." He growled, drinking another glass of whiskey. "Uh, I saw the singer and I-" "No." Joseph said heatedly and pushed them out of the room. He swore under his breath.
"JOSEPH I SWEAR TO FUCKING GOD WHERE ARE YOU." Nina yelled and he leaned against the door. "What." He said and she grabbed his wrist. "Let's go. We need you for the last song." He sighed and put in his earbuds. She glanced at him but didn't say anything.
Marc glanced at them as he was dragged onto the stage. He bit his lip and looked away from Joseph. Joseph rolled his eyes and went to his guitar. He didn't need to hear anymore of this shit. He turned up his music and strummed his acoustic guitar to the song like he knew he needed to. It was a waste of his talent. He saw the song end and Nina grabbed his hand before he could get another drink.
Joseph wobbled from the change of sitting. He watched her mouth as she yanked out an earbud. "GOD DAMMIT JOSEPH DON'T GET DRUNK LIKE THAT. OR-" "Nina, I'm not the star. You and the other two are. They don't give a fuck if I'm drunk or not." Joseph snarled and yanked his hand away. She gasped and covered her mouth. His mic was still on. He swore and took off the mic.
"Find me in my hotel room." He mumbled and stormed off the stage. Marc sighed and the three of them went to the meet and greet. He put on a happy face as he met his fans. Nina and Roy did the same, all of them worried about Joseph. "Is that everyone?" Nina asked and Marc nodded. Roy got up and called Joseph.
"Wherrrttt." Joseph slurred into the phone. "God dammit." Roy mumbled. "Where are you?" He asked and Joseph giggled. "Askkk Ninnnnnaaaa." He hung up the phone. "He's drunk out of his mind. Nina where is he?" Nina smiled and had relief coursing through her face. "Hotel." She said lowly and they drove back to the hotel. Marc was silent as he opened the door.
Joseph was on the floor laughing his ass off. Nina swore and walked over to him. "Hiiii." He slurred. "Niceeofyoutostopby." Joseph strung his words together. Roy sighed and picked him up and brought him to the bathroom. Joseph lurched over the bathtub and threw up. Marc went to grab a new pair of clothes for him while Nina called their manager.
"Yeah is it-" She was cut off by Joseph yelling in the bathroom. "Yeah he was drunk out of his mind. He can play tomorrow's show. Mhm, ok I'll tell them the change of plans." She hung up and walked into the bathroom. Joseph was yelling at Roy and Marc who were trying to wrestle a drink out of his hand. "Change of plans, we are meeting fans. Joseph, you can't drink during it." She snapped and smacked him in the head.
He dropped the glass, luckily it was plastic. He sighed and rubbed his face. He lurched and threw up into the toilet. Joseph wiped his mouth and flushed it. He got up and washed his hands. The other three cleaned up the whiskey on the ground. Roy and Nina left for their room while Marc stayed with Joseph. "Go to sleep pretty boy." Joseph mumbled, throwing up again. Marc rolled his eyes.
"Who's in charge here. Oh right it's me." Marc said and Joseph rolled his eyes. Marc stalked over to him and grabbed the collar of his shirt. "We get it. You hate me and everyone in the band. Just don't drink like that." Marc hissed. Joseph snorted and pushed him away. "Whatever." He turned away and threw up again.
"Joseph, how much did you have to drink?" Marc asked softly. "None of your business. You don't even care. Go hang out with someone who actually has a steady mentality." Joseph snapped and Marc sighed, leaving the bathroom. He changed into pajamas and fell asleep. He woke up at 9 am and went into the bathroom. Joseph was sleeping on the cold tile floor. Marc sighed and picked him up, cleaned him off, and set him in his bed. Joseph rolled over and groaned in his sleep.
Marc turned, hearing a knock at the door. He opened it to Nina holding a bucket of ice. She grunted and poured it over Joseph after getting into the room. He yelled and sat up. Roy and Marc snorted after he launched himself at Nina. He was soon pinned down. "Go take a shower. Be ready." Nina yelled in his ear.
"Whatever. I don't even have to go." He mumbled the last part and slammed the door shut. Joseph took a quick shower and stared at his reflection. His brown eyes were bloodshot and he had bags under his eyes. Joseph swore and grabbed his beanie. His outfit consisted of skinny jeans, a dark long sleeve shirt and a black beanie. He slipped on his vans and put on his shaded glasses.
Everyone else was ready and he sat in the way back of the van. Nina talked lowly to the manager who nodded. Roy and Marc were playing games and talking to one another. The van was parked and they were let out. There were flashing lights everywhere.
Joseph swore under his breath and quickly walked with his head down low. The other three smiled and took photos and signed papers. They were ushered into the room. Joseph sat bored as questions for Nina,Roy, and Marc were asked. "I have a question for Joseph." His head shot up surprised. There were whispered in the crowd. Most people left him alone because of his exterior.
"Uh, ok." Joseph mumbled into the microphone. "What made you learn the guitar?" The young girl asked. He sighed and took off his sunglasses. "That's a good question. My dad taught me so when he died it was one of the things I had to remember him by." The girl smiled widely and thanked him. He smiled back and the other band mates looked at him surprised.
He didn't ever tell them stuff like that. "Next question?" Marc asked. Joseph rubbed his eyes and put the sunglasses back on. Another hour went by. "One last question." Marc said. "Uh, I have a question for Nina,Roy, and Marc. Why did you let Joseph join the band. He obviously isn't needed." Joseph blinked and laughed bitterly. The other three blinked in surprise.
Joseph stood up and stalked off the stage. He looked around for coffee. He smiled and got a huge cup. Joseph sipped on it as they finished the panel. There were screaming and Joseph fished around for the pill in his pocket. He found it and popped it in his mouth. "What was that?" Nina asked, seeing the pill. "It wasn't anything that concerns you." He snapped and turned away from her.
She sighed and walked back to Marc and Roy. Joseph talked to the manager. "I got to go soon." He mumbled and she nodded. "Ok, tell me when you need to be picked up." He nodded and left. Nina watched and immediately started pestering the manager. "Where is he going?" She asked and Rose smiled at her. "Nina, he didn't tell you guys for a reason." Marc frowned overhearing the conversation Rosie and Joseph had.
"What's with him taking those pills then." Nina snapped and Rosie blinked. "I can't tell you that." She said softly. "Rosie, tell us. We have a right to know." Marc spoke up and she sighed.
"He's going to kill me." She mumbled. "Look those were antidepressants. He's going to see a therapist. Jesus why do you think he drinks like that." She finally snapped and Nina blinked. "Wait but-" Rosie interrupted her. "He has had 10 total suicide attempts. He's tried to die by drowning, binge drinking, overdose, hanging himself, slitting his wrists, jumping from a building. The list goes on." Roy swore under his breath.
Marc rubbed his temple and Nina smacked herself. They drove back to the hotel in silence. Marc stared at the pictures online of their band. All the pictures only showed Nina,Roy, and him. He bit his lip. "It isn't my fault he leaves the stage." He muttered out loud. "Ha. You are right. It's the entire bands fault." Joseph snapped and shut the door.
Marc watched him as he went over to his side of the room. Joseph glared at him, making Marc look away. "I wanna know. Why the hell am I in this band?" Joseph asked and Marc looked up, surprised.
