"Come on, Jenna!" a voice shouted out. "You need to wake up! You're late!"
Jenna winced as she opened her eyes. The sun was unusually bright today. She cast that thought aside, for she had important work to do out in the pasture. Jenna chose some clothes that were strewn across the floor and ran out to the fields.
"Bye, Mom!" Jenna exclaimed as her house shrank to a dot. This was her favorite part of the day -- tending to the sheep -- so she couldn't believe that she woke up late for it. Shepherding, to her, was more enjoyable than any other work she could do, until she got to the pasture that day.
Skipping along, Jenna got to the fields to find that all of the sheep had been slaughtered. The usually bright green earth had been stained a rather grim shade of crimson.
"Why?" Jenna cried out into the sky, weeping. "Why must this happen to me? To my livelihood? To my herd? Why?"
