After both were quite literally kicked out of the room, Albel scratched the back of his neck while watching the being beside him scribbling onto the board. 'You uh, want to go for a walk or something?' It was comical that Orion wrote everything he thought, even the extras. That urged a chuckle to rise from the human's throat.
"There is a park not far from here. I'll take you to a special place me and Roxas would go as kids to hide from everything."
Over excited at the idea, Ori took off; floating board, marker and all through the house. However once he himself crossed through the door, both objects clunked to the ground. Oh right. He couldn't drag solid objects through another solid object. Trying again, he floated back in and attempted to retrieve what he dropped but an inch or so in the air and they fell back down.
Approaching from the hallway, Albel let out a vocal 'hmm' as he deducted the problem. "I wonder if it is safe to assume you really can only hold things with concentration. Here, I'll carry this until we get there and you can settle down." Picking both up the man spoke one more idea before heading on his way. "Keep a hand on my arm so I know you're still with me."
Bright red Orion flushed to the suggestion. He was happy just this once for being invisible. As he mentally freaked out, Albel looked to where he thought his companion to be and grinned. It was almost as if he could just imagine the freaking out.
The name Orion stuck to him as they were introduced. He only knew one, and knew of no others personally or from gossip. If they were the same being his day-even his week had been made. The clumsy boy he used to know was a bright beacon of hope in his otherwise poor life.
If it really was him…
After his mini freak out, Orion finally mustered the courage to first lay a single finger to the slightly taller males arm. Once he braved the single touch he was able to allow the full of his hand to lay on, or rather in, his arm. It worked. Taking the cool touch as an affirmation Albel set off.
Once arriving at the nearby park, Albel made his way straight for some bushes and ducked under and through a makeshift opening. Did Orion sneak a look when the other bent over to climb through? Of course he did! It was true what they said about well, anyone but Caucasian folks. They had wonderful backsides!
Oh right! Shaking his head and saving that mental image for another time, the ghost flew through the bushes and once again followed as Albel led the way through a wooded area, up a steep hill. The final destination was a lone tree atop the hill overlooking the whole park on one side; the city on the other.
Orion immediately felt his jaw drop in awe and snatched his whiteboard back to write his feelings. How he found the brain power to do so amazed even himself.
'This place is amazing! And you said you both-' He wrote too big and after practically shoving the board into the others face he erased and finished. 'You both came here as kids? That is amazing! :D' he had to make absolutely certain his happiness came through with the added emoji.
The brunet grinned and nodded. "We even now still do. Though, nowadays it's to share important things. I think the last time was a few months ago when….no never mind." His grin faltered, only to come right back once seeing the question mark throw at him.
"Moving on from that. Orion right? Are you...do you happen to be the one I used to know?”
To that, he once again panicked, His board slipped through his hands and the ghost found himself folding in. This was it. This was where he would be called weird. Perhaps even disgusting. ‘Why are you hanging around here even after death? And your death...how did you manage something so-’ In the midst of him trembling; knees shaking and ready to give out he felt a warmth reach out to him.
“Knowing you, you’re probably panicking.” Albel stepped closer and once in front of where the whiteboard had dropped, he reached out and brought the ghost male into an embrace of sorts. If anyone else had been around to see, they would have seen a grown man hugging himself. But he knew he found his target as the cool air brushed his skin. “I remember you had a habit of doing such in the past. I can’t imagine that changed now.”
Pulling himself away, Albel bent down, picked up the whiteboard and held it out to his companion. “If you don’t mind, could we...still talk here and there?”
Blink.
Blink.
Wait, so he wasn’t weirded out? He wasn’t going to question why he was still around? He even wanted him to stick around? Be friends? Excitedly, Orion mustered up his concentration again to write out his response.
‘If you’ll have me, I’ll stay.’ Quickly he erased with his arm and wrote again. ‘I hope you and Roxas are prepared to handle me floating around.’
“I’m sure it won’t be that bad.”
The rest of the day, the two spent reminiscing old times. As if they were simply old friends meeting again after being apart for some time.
