Dear Diary.....
I don't like telling anyone this, but.
I'm not a fan of Nurses.
Don't get me wrong, I admire the profession like any Average Joe, in a metropolis city where sh*t happens on a 24/7 basis, whether it be in the ghetto, traffic, or the pent suite of some high roller love affair gone wrong.
No matter what the mess is - the Nurses are always there to make it right.
Even as a kid when I get real sick, they make me feel safe.......................
.............But... They can be a real b*tch when it comes to needles.
Kids and Marines hate needles, it's a given. I grew up in the Hood (my family is middle class), so nothing scares me while I have a police taser in my bag.
But... once a Nurse is armed with a syringe, you can only pee your pants.
I often wonder, as a child no higher than my mother's knee, if Nurses who apply vaccinations often sign up because of some unspoken fetish.
They smile at you as they prep the needle.
They smile at you as they tell you, it will only feel like a prick♥.
They smile at you--
--and drive the 12" needle like a kitchen knife.
... They twist it around a lot, saying they missed the vein.... Worse.
They always go: "Oops, I forgot to load the medications. Let's do it again♥."
......................
Again, I keep asking myself if theses Vaccine Nurses have a fetish to see men cry?
