It's Thursday, and Anna has been missing for about a day and a half. She wasn't in her room before bed Tuesday night and hasn't shown up since.

When I went in to tell her to come down for family prayer, like I always do, she was nowhere to be found. I looked everywhere, even searched her room to see if she left anything out that would specify her whereabouts. The only thing I found was her phone, lying on her bed with her favorite webcomic showing on the screen. Well at least I won't need to try and call her, she doesn't have her phone, I thought when I found it. I ran downstairs to tell my parents and they looked at each other like they knew why she was gone, but said that they needed to wait until we found her before they tell us what their look was for.
The next day began like always, just without Anna. We all got ready for school and for seminary and I ended up driving us to seminary for once, instead of Anna. It was odd, doing everything without her. We had a few elective classes together and when the teacher called role and found that Anna was absent, they would normally ask me where she was. Even though she was actually MIA, I just said she was home with the flu. Once we got home from school I started asking my parents if we should tell the police and file a missing persons report, but their response was way different from what I expected.
"Just wait a couple of days. If she doesn't show up then we'll start searching. She is a Watingale, remember when your cousin went missing for a few days and then turned up saying she was at a friend's house and forgot her phone?" Said Dad.
I was shocked. Wait a couple of days? I don't think waiting a couple of days is going to bring Anna back. But I don't say anything because what my Dad says, goes. I go up to my room and start my homework because there doesn't seem to be anything else I can do.

I try to continue a little as normal for the next day, but as soon as I get home from school I ask why we are waiting.
"I don't feel like she's at a friend's house. That's just not like her. Plus, she left her phone on her bed in the middle of a webcomic episode. She would never do that! She always says, 'okay I'll be there in a minute I'm almost done with this episode,' and then you don't see her for like 10 minutes while she reads her comics." I say.
"I know, but just wait until tomorrow morning. If she's not back by then, we'll start looking. Until then, let her be an adult and figure out her situation herself." My mom replies.
I sigh and go up to my room once again to start on my homework. After my homework I go in my social media and look up some of her friends profiles to see if maybe she really did go to a friend's house. None of the friends I could find had any recent pictures or posts about hanging out with my sister.
"I hope they're right," I whisper to myself.
