"Pet,get up." The man said and Arlo growled. His fangs sharpened and the man just laughed. "You haven't gotten any blood." Arlo sighed and knew it was true. The man roughly pulled him to the stage.
"We have a pure blood vampire here." The man announced and bids started flying. Arlo glanced at the ceiling and realized he could probably jump and get through the small crack. He was about to transform when the man yelled, "SOLD."
"Shit." Arlo muttered. His chance was gone. He stared at the ground as his new master pulled him to the car. He stared at the scenery and wondered what it was like to be free. The man grunted and pulled him into the mansion.
They all had mansions it seems. He just followed quietly and heard a scream. "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT." A girl yelled and pointed at him. "'Pure blood." The man simply answered. The girl nodded and Arlo kept his eyes down like he was used too.
He bit his lip and tasted his blood. He shuddered at the taste. It was vile. Arlo glanced up as his golden eyes saw the man had stopped. "Look, do what I say and we won't have any trouble." The man muttered and Arlo quickly nodded.
He was given a small glass of blood. He quickly drank it and was put to work. He cleaned like he was told too. He was cooked. He did all the chores. The man seemed to avoid him. Arlo got a bit angry at the fact that he couldn't go outside. The girl was everywhere.
Arlo tugged at the small bracelet on his ankle. He wanted it off. The girl glanced and rushed over. She had the same one on her. "Arlo don't do that. My brother is extremely protective." She whispered and Arlo put his hand down.
He hated this. All the other masters who said they would take care of him and take him away always failed. It was a ploy. Every time he trusted them they took advantage of him. Then they sent him back. Arlo glared at him and the man seemed to flinch under his gaze.
Arlo knew he made people fall in love with him. He had that type of aura. He bit back a laugh as the man seemed to be sad that Arlo hated him. Arlo. That's what he wanted but he would never get him. Arlo finished cleaning a few weeks later nad was surprised when the man bent down and took off the anklet.
"I see the way you look out the window. You deserve to be free." The man murmured and Arlo smiled at him gratefully. The mans heart broke in two as he watched Arlo leave his home. He never did see the boy who's eyes shone even in the darkest places ever again.
