I quickly collected myself and taking my hands away from my mouth I put on a blank face ready for my father's rant.
"You dare say something like that to your father! To your King!" he yells at me.
"Yes I dare!" I yell back, "But to me, you are just my King, not my father. You weren't in my life long enough to be one." With that, I turn on my heel and march back the way I came.
"Damn him, damn him, damn him!" I growl under my breath as I storm down the hall my black hair bouncing against my back.
I clench my fists and stalk down the main stairs into the courtyard and after yelling at a farm hand to prepare my horse I walk over to the training field. I stop and taking in a deep breath I yell out to all of the lazy men just ambling about in the training field.
"What are all of you doin' lazying about out here? This is a training field, not a sleeping shack! Move your butts or get out! Four lines in front of me now!"
At the sound of my voice, the men scrambled into four lines in front of me. I let my gaze wander over them till I found Alec, my best friend, sleeping standing up in the back of one of the four lines.
Shaking my head I make my way over to him a smirk playing on my lips. I move to stand right behind him, then placing a hand on his shoulder I yell into his ear, "Oh no Fire! Alec help there's fire everywhere."
