As I walked into the next car the sound of the wind from outside could be
heard strongly. It looked like we’re headed right into a storm. Great just what
we needed a probability of a black out. Most people on the train kept to
themselves. I sat down in a chair looking out the window again. I only hoped
that we would reach Gavin soon.
Staying on this train was starting to make me feel trapped. That is when a
man sat down next to me. He was playing on a cell phone that had to cost at
least seven hundred dollars. How people could spend so much on useless
things was beyond me. I glance up at him as he smiled to me. Instantly I
looked back out the window. It took me by surprise for some reason that he
actually smiled at me.
After an hour or two I feel something on my shoulder. Looking over the man
had fallen asleep. Seemed the man wasn’t very good at sleeping sitting up.
I had to laugh a little to myself. He wasn’t a bad looking guy but something
felt off about him. Hesitantly I placed my hand on his face trying to see or
take something from him. My mind enters a fog as I hear gun shots. Slowly it
comes into focus as seeing the man next to me. He was standing next to
several police who were armed with weird guns. I’d never seen a gun shoot a
laser before in my life. I couldn’t help but wonder what they were hunting
down. The man walked over through a cloud of smoke to a young girl laying
on the ground.
“Pathetic...”
His voice was so cold it even sent shivers down my spine. I looked pass him
to the girl who had been shot multiple times. She had blue scales around her
eyes and along the sides of her neck. Huh? What the fuck is going on here?
His voice was even colder as he spoke to the girl again.
“We will wipe all you freaks out.”
Before I could see anymore I pulled my hand from him. This man was very dangerous!
I tried to move the man slowly as to not wake him. Sadly I failed as he grabbed my wrist.
“Um...You were sleeping on my shoulder. I need to use the bathroom.”
He let go with a embarrassed blush to his cheeks. Thank god he didn’t read
anymore into it. I tried my hardest to remain calm even though I was
screaming DANGER in my head. As he moved for me to leave I gave a faint
smile taking off to the direction of the bathrooms.
How the fucking hell did I manage to keep running into these kind of
situations? At the bathroom there seemed to be a waiting line so I just walked
into the furthest car from where I’d been. A loud crashing boom of thunder
made the people around me jump. At least seeing that made me feel a little
better. Amusing how people can find pleasure in others pain and misery.
Taking a deep breathe I look to the lighting in the distance. It felt like it could
crash down on us at any moment. If it did would I actually die or still be able
to walk away from it all? For the next three hours no one seemed to bother
me. The man who announced to board the train walked past telling everyone
we were about to enter the station. Great! I could finally get out of this box.
Soon as the train opened the doors I jumped down. It was like a breathe of
fresh air finally getting out of there.
The good mood didn’t last long when I heard a laugh behind me. it was the
good looking freak killer. Shit...why did it have to be him?
“So is this your first time here in Gavin?”
His voice wasn’t cold like in the vision. I nodded not wanting to prolong our
encounter.
“Sorry I’ve got to leave. Take care Sir.”
He smirked seeing how fast I wanted to leave. Subconsciously I took off into a
run. The man didn’t follow me thank god. To be honest what would I do if he
did? It wasn’t like I could take down a fucking laser gun.
