God's Vessel

The Results (Part 2)

The Results (Part 2)

Jun 09, 2019

The three of us stood there in silence for a second before a flick of gold trailed by me. Searing pain stringing my left shoulder, the golden blade dissipating into bits of light.

"What the hell!" I said, grabbing the cut. Touching it I realized that no blood had come out, the light had cauterized the wound as it went through.

"Show me what you learned," Vi said stoically, a long, dazzling sword of light in each hand.

Colt, responding instantly by leaping back and drawing an arrow. "We trained for this Kal, let's not disappoint!"

Tightening my grip on the spear, the violet patterns glowing intensely. Soles slamming against the ground as I charge forward, blade thrusting at Vi's shoulder. The jab followed by a jade tinted arrow bolting towards his head.

In an instant he smoothly sidestepped the jab, sliding his left foot behind him, body following. In the same flowing motion, he swung his right arm out, golden sword slashing through the air next to me in a wide arc. As if watching in slow motion I saw the edge of the golden sword catch the blade of the arrow, throwing its trajectory right between my feet.

The jade tint shooting into the ground below me, thick briar creating a wall between Vi and I as he takes a step back.

"Nice little trick!" he called over the wall. "But you'll have to be quicker than that" whispered Vi, his face appearing only inches away from my own. From above, his two swords came crashing down upon the shaft of my spear.

"Gotcha" I replied with a smirk, electricity arcing along through the spear and the edges of the blades. Releasing the blades he leaped back just as the galvanic energy blasted out. The two swords dissolving into light and reappearing in Virgo's grasp.

"You aren't getting away this time!" Yelled Colt, an arrow taking the lead over Vi's jump, landing seconds before him. The same briar shooting up and wrapping around Vi's limbs, locking him in place. In a streak of magenta, I rocketed towards him before planting one heel and pivoting. Spear slashing at Vi's chest.
