One of the men bust open the door and marched in.  He was about, i'd say 17 years old.  I wasn't afraid, since the soldiers were America's (I could tell since they had all had little red,white,and blue pins on their uniforms) and this couldn't be worse than the Filtering, right?

"Which one of you is Amaranth Woodward?" he asked in a booming voice.  As you may know, I am Amaranth Woodward, so I raised my hand uncertainly.  He saw me and said in a quieter voice, "The president would like to see you.  Come with me."  I am not a very stupid person, so I followed him off the bus.  

"Why me?" I kept wondering over and over.  Why me?
