God's Vessel

The Results (Part 3)

The Results (Part 3)

Jun 09, 2019

As the tip of my spear began to slash through the shrubs a flash of light consumed them. Heat washing over the two of us as the plants burn to ash, Vi quickly ducking under the blade.

Sword of light crashing down on my spear, driving my blade into the ground. Tendrils of light coiling around the blade and my own wrists before shooting into the earth, locking me in place. Helpless I watched as Vi soared towards Colt, each volley of arrows being redirected by the remaining sword. Right as Vi reached Colt, the clever ass shot an arrow at his own feet. A wall of vines, much thicker than the ones before, wrapped around Vi's arm mid-thrust.

"That's two times I've caught you" smirked Colt, parting the plants and releasing Vi.

"Hmm fine, you're strong enough to go on your own. But be sure to stay together" Said Vi as he snapped his fingers. The light binding me fading away.

"Did you have to make those restraints so tight" I grumbled, rubbing my wrists. Seriously handcuffs would have been comfier.

"I could have just stabbed you into the ground" replied Vi, walking over to me with Colt at his heels. "Now let's get going"

"The place you're going is a little town at the edge of Mount Jebel. There you will need to look for the twins, Lucy and Lana. Ask around and try to get some information first, it will help you a lot." Vi continued to explain smaller details of the search before we finally reached the road where we would split. "Good luck," he said, waving us off.

Our side of the road looked like... well crap. The previously smooth dirt road changed into rough gravel. This is gonna be a really long walk.

Colt, the only one of us with any actual sense of direction, took the lead. He used to joke that even on a straight road I could get lost.

"How far away is this town," I said.

"Mmmm about a two days walk," Colt said. He always enjoyed these types of journeys. Seeing new people, places, plants. I'm pretty sure he enjoys the plants the most though. While for me, Colt is the only reason these trips are bearable.
