When the funnel was over and everyone had left, James stayed to say his last goodbyes because he couldn’t bear losing her. When he had finished, he leaped into Aarons arms and chest and broke down crying. I guess he was holding it in through the whole thing. After James stopped crying Aaron suggested to go back home, and then it started to rain, but James refused, he wanted to stay in Aarons arms just a little longer. Aarons got embarrassed a little, but he understood James needed some comfort. 5 minutes had past and James had calmed down enough for Aaron to take him back home. When they arrived back, they were completely soaked, James’ Dad ran straight up to them with a worried look on his face “Where have you two been? I was so worried!” When James' Dad saw the look on his son’s face, he knew to leave them be. Aaron took James to his room; he was incredibly tired and needed to get some rest. Once Aaron took him to his room and placed him in bed James almost instantly fell asleep, so Aaron left him and went down stairs, he said bye to James' Dad and was about to head off home but before he could James’ Dad caught him before he left out the door and said “Please Aaron... Stay for a while, I think James would appreciate it” so before he went they both sat down in the living room with some tea and sugar (very British) It was silent at first but then they started a conversation. Conversations weren't one of Aaron's strengths, the same with James’ Dad.

(Dad) “So, how's James doing? Ever since his Mother died, he hasn’t really been talking to me much anymore”

(Aaron) “I won't lie to you sir, but he's not been dealing with it well”

(Dad) “Please don’t be so formal. You’ve done so much for him more than I ever could”

(Aaron) “If your blaming yourself for James’ mothers' death, don’t now that his mother's gone your all he has”

(Dad) “I don’t think that’s true”

(Aaron) “What do you mean?”

(Dad) “Well he has you, doesn't he? When James is around you, I've noticed that he's confidant and full of joy, don’t you see that in him”

(Aaron) “Yes I do but I saw more of that when he was with his mother”

Complete silence

(Dad) “I guess we can't compete with her can we”

Very awkward laughing

(Aaron) “Yes I guess we can't. But still we should at least try for his sake”

(Dad) “Yes we must”

(James) “What are you two talking about?”

(Narrator) How did that awkward laughing wake him. He's such a light sleeper
