Friends sometimes are like balloons.
They come 'n go like balloons
They will be there for a moment
But, if you let go
They float away
Out of your grasp
Making you regret letting go
But you best get over that balloon
Not shedding a single tear
Cause really..
You were the balloon...
Your friend left you in the air
Never to be found
If they didn’t have the effort to run after you
Are they really a friend?
Sad, true
Annoying, yes
But no matter what
You can't keep that grief built up inside
You'll have to teach yourself to let it go
No one will stay by your side
I've learned that the hard way
I've lost countless friends
But keep a strong mask
Hoping it'll last till I get home
So I spread my sorrow on the drenched pillow
That stupid mask can be off...
Till the morning
Then it's back with the damn mask
To hide the red puffy eyes
Runny nose
Black circles under your eyes
Same depressed face
That says a century of stories
All that behind a damn mask
That no one bothers in taking off
For all they know
Your not pretending to be happy
Because they aren't true friends
Every time you texted them and say
"I'm fine..."
They ignore the dots and continue about thee pathetic life
Find the friend that will hide the knives
The one that hides the blades
Hides the noose
The pills
Everything you'd think of.
They'll take away
And hug you tight
Telling you they won’t let go
Won’t pop you
Because...
That's a true friend that cares
A friend that won’t let you inflate alone in some bush of loneliness
They’ll keep you til you’re ready to go
But be careful
Some may not let go
But some may throw you away in the trash
