Shirome, while carrying the twins on her arms, was having a hard time trying to reach the door bell of the house, but she was not able to reach it. So she tried think of other ways to catch attention of anyone who might be outside.
She thought that by kicking the gate bars, she would able to make some sound but it was too hard to vibrate and make a sound. She tried again and again, but ended up getting hurt.
She stopped and sat on the floor as she started to feel sleepy and tired after all the running and fighting, as well as carrying the twins. She tucked them both in her arms making sure that they won't feel cold, and a few more moments, she as well, fell asleep.
Morning came and the Hayao's started to get their selves ready. Mr. Hayao noticed Lady Hayao who is sitting on the couch with gloomy eyes. She walked closer to her and hugged her.
"Don't worry, I promise to bring our precious daughters back." He comforted her and kissed on her on the forehead.
Suddenly, a maid came in a hurry.
"Master." She tried to catch her breath.
"Calm down first. Drink some water." He said and the butler handed out a glass of water to the maid.
"Thank you." She said and had finally caught her breath.
"What happened?" Mr. Hayao asked her.
"The young mistresses. They are outside." she said that gave them a surprise.
Mrs. Hayao hurriedly stood up and rushed outside, and there she saw her two daughters quietly sleeping in the arms of a stranger.
"Did you bring them back here yourself?" she asked her. But the girl did not answer and just kept on staring at her.
"I am, their mother." She said while gesturing out what she meant as she think that she can't understand her.
"Me. Mother." She said while pointing at herself. The little girl nodded as if she understood. Lady Hayao smiled.
"Can I carry them for you?" She said while stretching out her arms saying that she will take them now. The little girl nodded in response.
"Thank you." Lady Hayao thanked her and carried her two daughters who woke up from being moved.
"Mama!" they both cried when they saw their mother and hugged her.
"What's happening here?" Mr. Hayao came rushing to them and was surprised when he saw what is happening.
"Papa!" They cried and stretched out their hand to him."
"Oh my dear daughters." He cried as well and hugged her.
"But how... how did you manage to escape?" He asked them.
"Big sister came to help us." they said pointing to the girl sitting on the floor.
"Thank you for rescuing my daughters." he said and came closer to her. She only nodded in response.
"If you may, please tell me where you live and where your parents are. I would like to show my gratitude to your family." He said but she stared blankly at him.
"Dear, I think she can't speak." Lady Hayao told him.
"Oh. I'm sorry about that."
"Papa, She is called Shirome." The twins told him gleefully and went climbed down from their parents.
"Shirome? The girl from the forest?" he asked. The twins nodded.
