“Goodness gracious Johnny, what are you wearing?” granny exclaimed as the first thing when she saw Johnathan.

“Uhh, clothes?” Johnathan said. What was this again? Had he accidentally put on his sister’s clothes or something?

“I’m talking about those trousers. Why is the crotch hanging at your knees? I can see your underwear! Do you not have a belt? I can buy you one if you need it.”

“Oh, uh, this is a new trend. Everyone wears their trousers like this.” So, granny wasn’t too keen on the low hanging jeans he was wearing. I guess he should’ve anticipated this, but he had completely forgotten.

“Trend? Bah, I say. That looks ridiculous. Aren’t those jeans too big for you too? They don’t have any shape at all. You will never get a job if you dress like that.”

“Granny, I’m in high school. I don’t need a job yet…”

“You should still dress smartly. What will all the girls say when you just show off your underwear like that?”

“This isn’t even bad. You’re exaggerating. They don’t even hang low yet. Some other guys definitely take it further.” His dressing was quite modest still. Despite what granny said, the jeans’ crotch wasn’t even at the same level as his knees, only lowered a little bit so it revealed the edge of his boxers. But for granny knee-length dresses were almost too revealing so this was clearly an outrage too.

“I hope you don’t dress like that in public. Even fence posts will laugh at you…”

“Yeah, yeah. I’ll pull them up if it makes you feel better,” Johnathan said sighing.

“Good. That’s much better. Now if we just cut that long hair of yours, you’d definitely look much smarter.”
