How to Capture A Masquerade (And Other Odd Tales)

The Village in the Southwest: A Response to the New York Times

The Village in the Southwest: A Response to the New York Times

Jul 12, 2019

An open letter from the Hope Alliance Foundation in response to the allegations from the New York Times about our organization's operations in West Africa.

Hope Alliance Foundation Headquarters,

1376 Piedmont Ave.

Berkley, CA

USA 94720

August 13, 2029

Dear Friends,

Our foundation was built in 2016 on the principle of spreading hope to a dark world. We are dedicated to helping people around the world live their best lives. We have been committed to doing nothing but bringing out the best in, and have seen our goals through for more than a decade. In over the last decade, we have been able to reduce the poverty in the western hemisphere, organize health and well-being programs in Europe and Africa, and helped 80% of globe reduce their CO2 emissions by 75% in the last year. We do nothing but support the world and the people who live in it.

The stories you have seen in the news about our organization are false. The individual with the alias "Alene Gaston" was never in our employment. After investigations, both internal and from international agencies, it was found that the individual was a former ward at the Sherman Psychiatric Hospital for Dissociative Identity Disorder, and this individual has an alter obsessed with conspiracy. They truly believed that our foundation runs unethical and vile, to the point where they broke into our medical centres in Cameroon, took authorization codes and employee files and sent them to the press, along with this story.

Let me be perfectly clear; there are no unethical human experiments or unauthorized dig sites within our organization. There is no secret "Order" within our organization. We would never put our employees and volunteers in harm's way. We would never. The story is that of a mind in need of help and care. Our mental health facilities are more than capable of keeping her mind stable and active. This is why we have opted to keep this individual at one of them. The location is undisclosed at the moment so they can get rest

We hope in light of this you can support those in need of health facilities and continue to support us in our mission to give hope to the world.

Signed by your friend,

Dr Elizabeth Steely
