Camilla POV
I got out of Homeroom feeling extremely pissed at how shallow people were. They only cared about your looks and not what was beneath it. I'm 100% sure that if they knew the real me they'd be running for the hills.
Liz was outside waiting for me.
"Hey Camilla. How was Homeroom?" She asked.
"It was..." I stumbled around thinking of how to describe it, "...interesting." I finally decided.
"Just interesting?" Liz asked.
"Yes. Now let's go look for my locker." I told her.
"Sure." She agreed and led me towards the lockers.
I followed her thinking about Homeroom. Were the people here always this shallow or was it just bad luck that I was put in that class and they were the only ones like that?
I looked at Liz.
Maybe not everyone here is that bad. I concluded and decided not to judge everyone because of them.
"Hey Camilla?" Liz asked.
"Hmm?" I replied just coming out from my daze.
"What's your locker number?" She asked.
I looked at the file that held all my school information –including my locker number and code– and said, "Locker 177." I replied and she abruptly stopped.
I stopped looked back confused and wondering what was going on. Before I could voice my concerns, she took my file and read it.
"Hey!" I said snatching my file back from her.
"What's going on and why do you look like you're scared for me?" I asked.
She looked at me with wide eyes and said, "Locker 178 is the locker of the school bad boy Jonathan Brookes. He is not just a pretend bad boy, he's seriously the real deal and he's no stranger to jail. The worst part is that his dad in charge of the worst gang in Veneza: The Vipers and his mother is an actress slash model. Both parents are extremely good looking so he got their looks, their charm, his mother's acting skills, his father's strength and ruthlessness. Because of his parents, everyone loves him and fears him but he's made a reputation for himself so people barely consider him as his parent's son. He's not someone you want to talk to and definitely not someone you'd want to have beside your locker."
He sounded so familiar but I couldn't remember where I could have known him from.
"I really don't mind and if his locker's beside mine but if you're afraid he'll be there, you can wait here while I look for my locker." After seeing the look on her face, I added, "I promise I won't hold it against you." She merely nodded and waited for me.
I continued walking and finally saw my locker. I walked towards it and put in my combination before collecting all the books I needed 'till break. I turned around and saw a figure walk past me and open the locker beside me.
When saw who it was, my books fell out of my hands and my eyes widened in horror.
All I could mutter was... "Oh no."
