Camilla POV
I finally realized why he was so familiar to me. Those midnight blue eyes that faded into silver around the edges with a stare so intense it looked like he was tearing through the façade you built and was looking into your soul, the tousled hair so black it could create a shadow a shadow at midnight, his bronze tanned skin that contrasted with my porcelain pale skin, his puckered pink lips that could rival mine, the height that made him tower over most guys –I'm pretty sure he was in the 6 foot category– and abs that most guys would kill to have and most girls would kill to see.
If I were any other girl, I would have called him the boy of my dreams but I'm not any other girl so in my case, he's the boy of my nightmares.
In one of my previous schools: Quell High, he had also been the school bad boy and he made it his sole purpose to make my life miserable.
We were sworn enemies in a heated game of Love and War. We flirted like it was nobody's business but we hated each other to the core and it confused others around us to no end.
No matter how we behaved around each other, I couldn't help but be afraid of him but once we started talking, that fear would disappear –hey that rhymed.
Seeing him here brought back all the memories from Quell that I'd been trying so hard to forget like how he'd promised to make my life in high school hell and ended up being one of the reasons I moved.
I hoped I never saw him again but like always, luck wasn't on my side.
He looked at me and smirked, "Milla! Lovely seeing you here isn't it?"
"If I never had to see you again it would still be too soon." I replied rolling my eyes at his cockiness.
He put a hand over his heart in mock hurt and said, "Milla dear, you hurt me."
I rolled my eyes again then bent down to pick my books.
"Don't you have somewhere to be or are you going to spend all day staring at me?" I asked when I stood up.
He pretended to be thinking and I couldn't help but stare at him. I may not have liked him but I did have eyes and could appreciate how his dark eyebrows scrunched together and his lip pouted adorably while he thought.
"Nah. I think I'll just stare at you." He said then continued to stare.
I rolled my eyes –oh my god it's becoming a habit again!– then turned around and walked away knowing that I was late for class and I would be even more late since I still had no idea where it was.
I walked to where I left Liz and saw she had already gone to class. I looked at my phone and saw it was already 15 minutes after class started and decided not to go to class because I already knew I was late and decided to explore the school.
I was just walking around when I found it: Room 213. I looked at my phone and saw just five minutes has passed since I last checked and I could still listen to the rest of the lesson.
I opened the door and walked into class. Everyone was staring at me and the teacher had stopped speaking to stare at me and frown.
"Why are you late miss?" She asked.
I smiled my award winning smile and said, "Sorry I'm late Miss Ella but I'm new and I got lost on the way here."
"Well since you're new, I'll give you a break but I won't be as lenient next time." She said with a small smile.
She turned to the class and said, "Class this is..." She paused and looked at me.
"Camilla Devan." I continued for her.
"Well miss, go to your seat." She said and pointed towards the seats.
I looked around the class and saw that Liz wasn't here. I saw a free table so I went towards it and sat down.
Jonathan came into the class a few minutes later and I saw Miss Ella shaking with fear and the students in front shifted their seats to be away from him.
Miss Ella said nothing while he scanned the class. He looked towards me and smirked then began walking towards me. I looked to the side and saw that there was an extra seat beside me.
I groaned and put my head on the table to avoid talking to him. I heard the chair scrape beside me and knew he sat down there.
This was going to be a long class.
