For the record, Blake isn't blind. He can tell how Satoshi feels about his brother. And, on the surface, their fake dating seems good for Lucius. But, Blake knows his brother. Luce keeps everyone at arm's length, scared that his powers will force others to love him. It's not healthy for him to keep up this charade instead of facing his fears. As the cause of Luce's fears, Blake knows he has to help him get over it soon.

If only Sato was immune to Luce's mind control. Luce would obviously be willing to let him closer if he couldn't be controlled by Luce's power. It's obvious with how much the two flirt, even at the apartment where there isn't any audience. Blake feels a twinge of envy.

No, he needs to be content with the friendship he has with Dewi. It's great, amazing. They couldn't be closer. Alright, that's a lie. There are ways they could be closer…. He just knows that it would never happen.

"Dinner time~" Oh, good, Blake can finally stop pretending to not notice those two flirting in the kitchen. He shares a look with Dewi before pausing the old fairytale play recording they're watching.

They join their roommates at the table as Sato carries out a large pot of pasta. Luce starts serving the food and passing it around as everyone sits down. The group eats in silence for a moment until Sato speaks up first.

“So, Dewi, I heard you got a huge modeling contract today.”

“Yeah.” Dewi brightens up, as if the topic gives him even more energy. “I was actually surprised how easy it was. I mean, I know I’m amazing and they already wanted me for a single spread, but I guess the image I presented impressed them more than I expected. They offered me a year long contract within minutes of seeing me, making me one of the few models that they’ll hire for almost all their advertising. It'll be a lot of work, but the pay is really good since they’re such a popular clothing and accessory brand.”

Lucius pipes in with a bit of curiosity. “Oh, right, I don’t think you ever mentioned what company the meeting was for.”

“Royal Crows.” Both of the brothers are surprised. Why wouldn’t they be? Afterall, Royal Crows was-

“That’s my favorite brand.” Blake speaks up. “Like, over ninety percent of my wardrobe is from one of their lines. They always have such interesting outfits and somehow keep everything so affordable.” The irony of Blake’s crush becoming the face of his favorite brand…. Blake would probably never hear the end of Luce’s teasing.

Blake is distracted by thoughts of Luce teasing him, so he’s the only one who misses Dewi’s reaction to his words. The shape-shifting prince is blushing happily, though it’s obvious that he’s trying to hide it. “Then, I guess that’s even more reason to do a good job. I can’t let my best friend’s favorite brand look bad.”

Blake wasn’t paying much attention so he doesn’t know who says it, but he hears a muttered “just kiss already” from the other side of the table. He is frozen in embarrassment. Obviously Dewi hears it too because he confidently responds. “Joke’s on you, we already have.” He notices his roommates’ shock and Blake getting even more embarrassed. “What? It’s not like it’s a big deal. Satoshi’s the only one at this table who hasn’t kissed you.” The shocked silence is finally broken by the probably most surprised person, Sato.

“I knew they were making out in Dewi’s room this morning.”

“We were not! We’re just friends.”

“Sure you are…. What kind of ‘just friends’ kiss.”

“Back at you. You two do it all the time.”

“We’re pretending to be dating. It would raise suspicion if we weren’t acting affectionate.”

Blake knows he should just drop it. Pushing the subject could hurt Luce, but in this instant he decides that it has already gone too far. If he’s not allowed to hide from his feelings then neither is Lucius. “There’s no one you need to convince while at the apartment but you’re still flirting all the time. Stop hiding behind this fake dating crap. Just tell my brother how you really feel!” After his blow up, Blake quickly finishes his food in the awkward quiet before storming to his room. Dewi follows him, presumably to calm him down.
