Brume made his way into the small underdeveloped area... There had been a record number of missing persons' cases in the area, in the last few days on social media... Most thought it ritualists; he suspected something else.
"A curfew had been put in place," one of the town's watch guards had informed him. A decision, Brume thought rather smart. The disappearances had stopped at least... But the night guards were still combing the forest grounds for the missing persons. Brume had offered to write an article on the night guards, on the condition he tagged along. They had agreed, on the condition he paid a little token. Brume grinned, his little trip was getting more expensive by the minute. And for a second, he almost wished it worth it. He almost wished he would eventually collide with this monstrous entity called the night hunter...
On the first watch with the guards, they found nothing, so Brume contended himself with the tasty food and even more sumptuous stories of the villagers. The tag of a journalist was enough authority to have them spewing any secret they knew... But Brume was not just a 'journalist' and he had offered a strange potion to the guards to lace their bullets, blades and arrows with, in battling supernatural forces, they had laughed at the educated man that wanted to teach them magic.. It was on the third night they found something... Rather it found them.
