I yelped in pain and shock as Tatsuya swiftly moved to sweep me off the chair and into his arms as he hurriedly made his way to the door. He pushed it open and deftly made his way through the dark, seeming to be walking down a long flight of stairs. The air became much more frigid as we progressed and since I couldn't see, I closed my eyes as my mind raced.
If I wasn't in soo much pain, I might be able to overpower him right now... My thoughts were a jumble of irrational ideas for escape when I knew deep down it couldn't be done. I wish someone would just kill me and get this all over with. My life isn't worth much anyway...
He continued to walk for several more minutes down what seemed like an underground labyrinth of hallways, and when he paused, I slowly opened my eyes to see a light coming from a room as he opened the door and entered. From what I could see, the room was in much better shape than the one I had previously been thrown into. He let me down on the bed, the soft sheets caressing my skin as I looked up at him with an expression full of doubt and concern.
I watched him as he made his way across the room to an ornate bookshelf and poured a deep red looking liquid into a glass. He walked back to me and slid his hand gently under my neck, his hair cascading around as he brought the glass to my lips. I sputtered at the terrible, bitter taste and gulped some of it down. Without an explanation, he set the glass on a small table next to the bed and sat down near me.
"So tell me," his voice caused me to jump, even though it was surprisingly soothing, "Who are you?"
My countenance twisted into a look of confusion at his question and I responded, "T-Takashi."
"How can you not know who you belong to, Takashi," his stern yet soft voice reached my ears.
I unconsciously brought my hands up to my chest and touched my wrists where the ties had cut my skin, "I don't know what you mean, I swear. All I know is my life has become a living hell since I met that guy..." My whispered words trailed off as I felt waves of calm washing over me, much to my bewilderment.
"The medicine helps heal wounds and provides calm," I heard Tatsuya respond when he saw my confused expression. He continued without much pause, "Who would that be? The one you met?"
I felt my heart sink despite the calming effects of the medication as I softly answered, "His name was Ryuu."
Tatsuya's eyes flared with rage and a mix of emotions at the mention of that name.
"Ryuu," He spit out, "Why would he leave you, his brand new pet, for anyone to just pick up off the street. He's never been that careless..."
As he mulled over the new information I had given, I leaned up and ventured a glance at my legs and winced at what I saw. Two large blood stains covered both, but I was surprised I was not able to feel any pain anymore. Maybe it had to do with that awful red stuff he made me drink...
"Tell me everything you know," he turned to me with a renewed fire in his eyes, as he seemed to have collected his thoughts. "Where is he."
"I don't know where he is... We met by accident only a couple times..." I responded hesitantly. This guy seemed to be unpredictable, and I really didn't want to make him angry again like before.
"Where did you see him."
I reluctantly explained the few occasions I had encountered Ryuu and watched as a smile spread across his face. This new found information seemed to appease him for now as he stood and retrieved a knife from inside a drawer in the dresser across the room.
"I-I told you... everything...," I whimpered softly as he came back over to the bed. I had backed up against the wall, eyeing the blade he brandished in his hand.
"Don't be afraid," Tatsuya responded, and he placed the blade at his wrist and cut, blood dripping down from his wrist. He approached me, climbing up onto the bed, with his wrist outstretched.
"Drink."
