The lights circling his body blinked, and transitioned from purple to cyan. There was a click, and in a few seconds he squinted his eyes to a dark figure holding a flashlight directly to his face. The lid has risen, and he was exposed to his new and unfamiliar surroundings. He blinked a few times, and came face to face with a person dressed in a white lab coat. He appeared to be a scientist. The whole room was indeed filled with scientists dressed in white lab coats, opening coffins. Rows upon rows upon rows of coffins that went on for more than a mile. There were other people like Audiney walking up, and getting up from their deep slumbers.
Before he could process what he was seeing or ask any questions, the scientists in front of him put a hand on his back, and gently led him away from the coffin where he joined a single file line of freshly-emerged people. He looked in front of him, and then behind him. The amount of people he was beyond his fathom, and they were all standing there, looking at each other strangely and rubbing their tired eyes. They were all clothed in white uniforms, and even so was Audiney himself; a white shirt and a form-fitting pair of pants. He reached up to adjust a piece of blonde, curly hair from his ear, when he noticed an exposed spot where something of his possession should be sitting. His glasses. Yet, he was seeing just fine. He was supposed to be nearsighted, but saw every small crevice and fingerprint that was finely detailed into his hands perfectly. Whoever did this, they must have snuck contacts into his eyes while he was asleep.
The line started to move, and without anything to protest, he had no other choice but to follow the line and figure out where it went. The line of clueless people began to travel out of the coffin-lined room, and into a series of maze-like hallways. Each turn resulted in a new hall with new directions that branched off to more halls and went on into confusing infinity. The walls looked bleached with whiteness, and cold to the touch with ever step Audiney took down this head-spinning labyrinth. He held his hands close to his chest as he glanced down every hall. Down a grey flight of stairs, and another bleach labyrinth the line was guided though, followed by one more staircase, and then a big open room. Audiney should not have looked up, and was overwhelmed by the number of levels there were that lead to doors every five feet. His body trembled. He was not supposed to be here. This place was completely unfamiliar.
