Nate Talbot was on a mission with his brother, Peter and their friend, Hortensia. They were somewhat exhausted; it wasn't easy tracking down Charles Mathis, or his henchmen. They had been on the road for hours, with no food but water. They would find him, no matter what. The others were counting on them. "Whew! I'm tired." Peter yawned.
"It's three forty-five in the afternoon." Nate said
"Yeah. But, I usually don't get up 'til four." replied Peter
"Estúpido." She replied in Spanish, and poked him in the back of his head.
"Uh, I'm Spanish too. Just don't know the lingo."
She gave him a devious look. "Oh, I think you can translate it."
Nate chuckled quietly.
The girl had an exotic look about her, with her brown lipstick. It matched her shoes. Her burgundy red hair blew harshly in her face. Her shirt was short enough to see her navel; she only dressed this way when godmother, Gina wasn't around. She wore skin tight jeans, but she was never uncomfortable. Her rain boots were always her go-to accessory for missions. "Are we bored, yet?" She asked, Peter and his brother both nodded in unison.
Nate began. "According to Talbot, Charles Mathis is a Con-serve. So he'd probably be very hard to notice. It's not like he has an Hideout somew--"
"Does he?" She interrupted
"No, Tense. He has a lot of corporations though. Unfortunately, they're all at secret locations." Nate replied.
He was the tallest boy in their little family, besides Liam. He was wise, and always brave, like a big brother to all. He was strong, with burly arms and wide shoulders. His blue eyes were always gentle. His tanned skin made it difficult for people to place his ethnicity. His deep voice made him sound more mature than he appeared to be, eighteen. He was considered a gentle giant, except he rarely laughed, but happily smiled. Hortensia sighed,
"We need a new topic. I know! Talbot's birthday, what are you guys getting him? It's four days away, you know." The boys looked at each other with uncertainty, they had completely forgotten. The Charles Situation had them working around the clock, but it did hurt them to forget the man who raised them.
"Uh, we already got it! Right, Nate?" Peter replied and elbowed him in the arm gently. "Um, right! We're just waiting for the right moment to give it to him." Nate said.
"Yeah. Ooh! Maybe a telescope?" Hortensia expressed
"He already has about twelve of those." Peter replied. She sighed, and folded her arms.
Peter was the happy-go-lucky type of person. The fun was always his main priority, no matter what the situation. He was only serious when it was necessary, he lacked something in relationship emotions, but he never let his first breakup affect his choices or his family. He had a smile, which most girls considered adorable. He was shorter than his brother, but stood apart just the same. He always wore sleeveless shirts, except in the cold. He liked showing his arms; he felt it made flexing easier. The girl was tired of waiting in that one area, plus cornfields would always creep her out.
"Uhhh, I'm gonna track ahead. You guys catch up, okay?" They both nodded in agreement. Just like a cheetah, she was gone in a flash; all she left behind was a burst of wind. They were both lounging on the soft grass, minutes later Nate spoke.
"She'd be in the Twentieth Area right about now." He stepped away from his brother. "I'll try and catch up to her. Don't take too long, okay?" He said. Peter was staring down at some rocks and nodded. In minutes, there were wings protruding from Nate's back, he winced, and they merged back into his body.
"Still haven't fixed that flying thing, huh?" Peter asked
Nate grunted in frustration. "They should've healed by now!" He sighed and shrugged casually. "Guess this mean I'm makin' a run for it." He looked at him. "Don't make us wait too long." Nate replied. He started his jog into a run.

CJ was on her way home, in her new car. She felt so euphoric, that it made her reminisce. It was the exact color her mother liked, and it was all hers. It was the one thing in her life, which she could control. She signed the documents with the salesman, Mr. Taylor, with an approval from her father beforehand. It was something she was looking forward to paying for, herself. It even had that new vehicle smell and she couldn't wait to show Will. She noticed where she was, and she shuddered. "Ugh! Creepy."

Peter was stretching; he had a habit of sitting on his feet. He pushed his brown hair back from his forehead and cringed. He hated to sweat, especially on his face. He kicked his legs back and forth, preparing for a run. He walked into the street, closed his eyes and jumped. It was as if the ground had swallowed him completely. Minutes later he jumped out, yards away from where he was. "Hm, I need more distance." He said and jumped again.
CJ was on the road. Taking Prattis Street wasn't shortening her time, but increasing it. She heard a chime from her Holo-Cylindrical Receiver, and it was a message from her boss. "Incoming Message" the robotic voice said: CJ, I WAS GOING TO RECOMMEND YOU FOR THE JUNIOR MANAGER POSITION. BUT I'M GIVING IT TO CALLUM INSTEAD. SINCE YOU'RE SO BUSY, I'M SURE YOU WON'T MIND. Pamela would never hide her emotions, or feelings from anyone.
CJ neared the corner and saw someone, who came, from out of nowhere. She swerved, and heard something thump; the car was skidding, and then it crashed. Nate had stopped in his tracks. The sound of a wagon alarm caught his attention and he headed back for his little brother. CJ lifted her head; slowly "Ow, m-my head." she was sort of dazed. She looked in her rear view and saw him.
"Oh, no. No!" She exited the automobile and went to him.
He was across the street, standing straight, and leaning on a thin pole. Pressing his hand against his stomach, he spoke. "Man! You pack a punch." Peter joked, but his voice was hoarse.
"Oh, no! I am so, so sorry!"
"You should be. You did run over me." He chuckled and coughed up blood, he looked at her. "You're bleeding!" He said, his voice was clearing up
"It's just a small injury. Forget about me...what about you!?"
"What about me?"
"You're--!" She started to say, but was distracted when she saw his wounds instantaneously vanish. Peter cleared his throat and stood upright. "Not hurt anymore?" She finished, confused.
Peter began to panic in his mind, but kept his casual bravado. "Uh, I'm a fast healer." He said, his voice started to sound normal
"Nobody heals that fast" she said; no.w she was getting dizzy.
"Well, I'm a special case." He moved his feet slowly and backed away. "You need some help. Wait right her and I'll--" CJ interrupted and reached for him, she tugged at his shirt.
"No! D-Don't leave..." With that, she fell backward. He picked her up by sweeping up her legs.
He stared at her, and noticed a strange orange glow around her. "That's...different."
"Leave her!" he jerked at the booming sound of his brother's voice.
"I-I was just gonna take her to the Med--" He started to explain, but Nate interrupted.
"What happened, Peter!?"
"S-She came out of nowhere! She apologized a-and passed out." Peter replied
Nate sighed, and rubbed his head. "Fine, put her back in her auto. Chime the Medical, it'll be hard explaining your involvement. So, get it done. Then catch up with Tense in the Area." He said and jogged away. Peter carried her to her vehicle, and placed her inside.
[Oh! Safety first.] He thought and buckled her back into her seat. He rung up the Medical, and a voice answered.
"Medical Terminal, please state your emergency. And also the Relation of your location." her voice was bubbly, but robotic.
"An auto accident, she won't wake up! Prattis and C-Colson street, R-related." he said
"So, that's a car accident on the Ranger Territory, on Colson and Prattis? Please respond if this is correct." she said.
He was annoyed, but replied with 'yes'.
"Very well Sir, the Response Shuttle is on its way to you, have a nice day." With that information, the woman signed offline.
"Hmm thanks, weird-robot-lady."
He looked at CJ; she was stared at him, through tired eyes. He kept eye contact. "There's a shuttle on the way. Just hang tight, uh...Girlie." he said. He didn't notice that her ID strip was on her ear. To him, nicknames always sufficed.
"Wow, you're all glowy." She said and slipped back into her sleeping state. Because they were in Ranger Territory, he knew they would get to her in time; it was never that way on Veer Turf. Hu-mans would never care about them enough to try saving them, even though they were both alike.
Minutes later, he could hear the sirens in the distance. He hid behind a nearby bush; to make sure everything would go smoothly. He watched them carry her away to the Medical.
[Hmm...I glow too?] He thought, and headed toward Nate and Hortensia.
