Devin pulled out Sebastian's old steamer trunk; everyone was pulling items for Nate. He wanted to blend in more with society, being that he usually kept to himself. They all empathized with his isolation, so it was only right to help out the family. Nate wasn't the type to stand out, so he would wince when something was too flashy; he was standing rather mannequin-like. He was pacing in the Living Area; his idea of modeling, he already had on Tense's fedora, a cheetah print scarf, striped pants, and Sebastian's old pipe. Tense was hanging upside down in a chair, seeking inspiration in media primers.
Elise was deciding on fabric swatches, she had on tight jeans and flats. She was the shortest female in the bunch. She tugged at those jeans that her Aunt suggested she wear. Nate started striking hero-like poses, and flipping his hair, in a feminine way, everyone started to laugh. Elise's shoes were on the floor, she kicked her feet in laughter. Her laugh was more than a giggle; it was an outburst. She avoided eye contact when she noticed all eyes on her, and looked down at more swatches.

CJ was driving home, in her fixed car. "He wasn't there. He wasn't there. I'm imagining him--yep." She was sure to avoid any shortcuts, especially any which contained cornfields. She noticed a car right behind her, the same one that's been driving behind for two miles. She made a quick turn, that car made that decision also.
"Just a coincidence. I'm not bein' paranoid--just aware." She told herself. She drove faster, but the automobile did the same.
"Ha! Gotcha now, doll!" Byron had dropped Jill off at Charles' place, to pursue her. He was gaining on CJ; he was close that he could see her dashboard. He tapped her bumper from behind, and latched onto it. They were attached for miles. CJ steered her car into the rural area of town. She geared it in reverse and jumped out the door. Byron was thrown through his back windshield. She ran from both vehicles, as far as possible. Byron was after her; he couldn't allow her to live with the truth. It was a brick wall, and she was trapped.
[Creepy jerk, what the hell's his problem?] She thought. She was about to turn around, but neglected the thought, when she heard his hoarse laugh.
"Ha! There you are, doll face." Byron came out of his car and gave a devious smile, CJ ran to the end of the wall. Her hands was slightly bruised from the concrete. She tried to catch her breath and gulped when she heard someone's course laughter. The girl turned slowly and saw him. Byron had pieces of glass sticking out of his face. He smiled a bloody grin, and it dripped crimson down his chin.
"W-What is WITH this guy!? What the hell does he want with me?" She was ready to defend herself if necessary, and she wouldn't let up.
She stepped forward, but Byron wagged his finger. "Ah. Ah. Ah." He disciplined, and then CJ was stunned. A tiny flame rose from that finger, it was now a ball of fire. Seeing this made her back up. Byron flicked his finger, and his car burst into flames. The blowback made her scream, she backed away again. Byron came closer.
"I tell ya doll face, you got spunk. I like that in a woman!" Her feet were planted firmly; she braced herself against the cold brick.
[If I can't see it, then it's not real.] She thought and closed her eyes. Larger flames sprouted from his hands, he was deviously excited.
"The Boss Man's going to love you." He said. He aimed his hand at her heart, and released.
[Real! It's all too real!] She thought. She held up her hands in defense. She screamed, and was yanked backward.
Silence.
[So much for my Choice! Stupid burning guy! Will's gonna be so sad. Everything's so quiet...
and windy?]
"You're alive, right?" A distorted voice said.
"Wha--?" She twitched
The male voice sounded very familiar to her. "Will, you found me." She said with a smirk
He chuckled. "No, you got the wrong guy," She blinked to get a better view of him. She could see that it was a boy. He handed CJ her glasses. "Maybe these will help."
She looked at him and was overwhelmed; It was him, the mysterious boy. "Y-You?"
She sat up slowly, wary of her previous injuries. She stared at him with clarity.
"You're...real."
He chuckled. "Yes." He moved to help the girl to her feet. She touched his chest and felt his heartbeat.
"You're really real!"
He looked at her with perplexity. "Didn't we already cover that?"
"Who are you?"
"My name's Peter, and you are?"
"CJ."
He smirked. "Hm, a C and a J. Nice to see ya again."
"W-Where's that guy?" CJ asked
"You mean Burning Man? He's probably gone." He replied
"Oh. W-Why'd you save me anyway?"
"It was the right thing to do. Besides you would've done the same."
[Yeah, right. Do I look magical?] She thought
"So what kind of veer are you?"
He cocked his head in confusion. "What do you mean?"
"Y-You don't look like you have fangs and claws. And you don't have any fur-"
He laughed out loud.
"Wow! You're funny for an H-U. Who the hell told you that!?" He pushed his hair back; CJ lowered her head in embarrassment.
[Stupid frickin' hearsay!] She thought. They continued and made their way to the Cabin.
