The next day Kanemi arrived at school late, he'd been up late worrying about Yuu and then slept in by accident. When he sat down he noticed that Yuu wasn't there. Yuu never came to school that day so Kanemi decided to visit him after.

When the bell for the end of school rang. Kanemi packed up his stuff and got ready to head over to Yuu's, he was stopped though, by a teacher who had noticed he was close to Yuu and asked him to bring his homework to him.

Once he was able to escape the teacher who never seemed to stop talking, Kanemi walked to Yuu's house, getting lost a few times. By the time he got there, the sun was starting to set. Kanemi knock on the door, but nobody answered. Turning the door handle Kanemi realized that the door was unlocked. Kanemi entered the house and found Yuu sitting on the couch staring at something in his lap.

Kanemi walked over but Yuu didn't look up or give any sign that he'd heard Kanemi come in. Kanemi sat down on the table in front of Yuu and watched him. Yuu sat there staring at his hands which rested in his lap the lifeless expression in his eyes was still there.

"Hey." Kanemi spoke as he grabbed Yuu's shoulders. "Look at me." Kanemi kept talking but didn't let go. Yuu looked up at Kanemi without really seeing him. Kanemi took that as a sign that he was at least getting through to him a little.

"I don't know what's got you so shaken up, but you have to get over it. Sitting here isn't going to get you anywhere." Kanemi said, this time letting go of Yuu.

"Mmm..." Yuu din't speak words but it was a sign that he was listening. Kanemi relaxed, letting go of Yuu and kept talking about whatever came to mind to keep Yuu concentrated. He asked Yuu questions so that he would have to speak. Yuu eventually started talking. By the time Kanemi left the sun had completely set, but Kanemi was fine with that since Yuu had started talking with full sentences again and seemed to be back to normal. 

The next day Yuu came to school. It seemed like he had forgotten about what ever had been causing him to act so strangely. Kanemi didn't bring it up and soon it left his mind. They went back to normal, talking some times and Kanemi always sticking close to Yuu.

But when it came to Yuu, Kanemi had realized that his life wouldn't always be the same as it had been. He was right, three weeks after Yuu went back to his normal self, something happened.
