Aida, York City, USC, Yorbia, 821 EA (Epoch of Alliance)
As soon as I finished packing my suitcase and listened to the horn of the car below the house. Jenny was waiting for me in the car. I was feeling like grabbing my chest when I opened the door of the house and went out. The air seems to be different in this city. Can the air be mistier? But the people, buildings, neighborhoods, are different here in York City. You understand that a new city means a new school, but I hope I will meet new friends. Who am I? An ordinary troubled 16-years-old girl. I'm allergic to dry fruits. (Do not use this as a plot against me.) My parents work here currently, so as a result, we moved here. Together with my foster parents - John and Jenny Neiba. They are practically abroad with work and I rarely see them. The school I am going to attend is an independent boarding school, which is the best choice for children who annoy you. I will be there for a full academic year. Actually three academic years. If I will be there for so long, I need information. I read the brochure about this school. It is remarked to be one of the most first-rate schools in the country where students discover the skills and bring out the best and blah...
What skills do I have? My grades are fine, but I'm not a genius. My skills in sports are more moderate. I can't draw or paint, but I can play the flute. My extra credit is via volunteering in school activities. They are an excellent chance to make good memories. I was feeling a little down, so I closed my eyes and let the sandman to do his job.
Suddenly the car stopped. Jenny pulled the hand brake and then said we had arrived. I stepped out to have a better view. According to the brochures was divided into three massive buildings. They had a large yard too. After that, you can't see anything, but an enormous space with trees and shrubs.
"Now, here we are."
After I had greeted Jenny, I got my suitcase. I know I'll meet some nice people. It's one hell of an expensive school, so probably, yes. I have the list with the things I want to do when I get there. I must always be prepared. It writes:
1. Make a good impression on the first day.
2. Participate in school activities.
3. Create a group of friends.
4. Give you the best in your lessons.
5. Don't screw it up and make it a good year.
I broke the sight from the list and put it in my jacket's pocket.
"Strange." I frost by confusion because I am not seeing my suitcase anymore. Throws frightened looks on the left and on the right.
I found it next to a boy. He was about 17-18 years old. He was tall and had raven hair; thoughtful greenish-blue eyes; even a cut in the left eyebrow, which didn't suit him, but who knows.
On the shoulder, he had thrown a band reading "Welcome New Students". He was dressed in his school uniform, gray trousers, black jacket, white shirt, collar and the plated badge with initials G.A of the school. It was gentlemanly of him to carry my suitcase.
"Hi," greeted the boy. "I am..."
"Elias Mitchen, president of the student council." I interrupted him.
"How... Are you telepath...?"
"I'm not telepathic, that's in your badge," I interrupted before he could finish his word, pointing my finger on the badge in his chest. I tilted my head to glance him in his eye.
"Aida Neiba," I said, shaking my hand. "Thank you... for helping me out. I do not think I can find my room in this large building."
"This is my job," he called me to follow him. "Gabriel Academy is a special school because many students can find themselves here. We have different school programs, where anyone can fit. Now let me see your card; you're in room 101..." His face just faded for a second.
"Is there something wrong?" I worried.
"No. Your room is in the second building, and this is no wonder, follow me."
Along the way I could not notice, the tremendous noise and that two people were quarreling, more like fighting. One had wavy blond hair, while the other one was an olive-skinned boy with black hair in a bad-hair-day.
The blonde one withdrew a little and turned to the other. "Remove yourself from my sight, musclehead."
Meanwhile, the other man shouted. "What? You sure have some nerves, Donald!"
Elias didn't seem like he minded.
Donald turned his head around and looked at me. He approached me, knelt, grabbed my hand as a proposal, and asked, "Nice lady, what's your name?"
"Aida," I replied.
"Aida...," he looked thoughtful, "a lovely name!" And he went on, "Will you go on a date with me?"
Elias seemed annoyed as I seem confused by this guy behavior.
"No." I refused it with the gentlest voice I could have. "But I'm glad you asked."
"A typical move of yours." Now was that black-haired boy who was talking. "You're like this when an attractive girl goes by. What an idiot!
"That's none of your business," Donald got up. "Now if we have things to settle..."
They were about to fight again when a fist hit their heads to put them down. It seemed as if they had bumps in the head.
It was a man around 35-40 years-old with auburn hair. He wore a three-piece suit, and the red tie hanging on his shirt with an undone button. Hot day today.
"You're always getting yourself in trouble. Donald, Diego take a little break."
The boys' names are Donald and Diego. I thought I should memorize their names because I had the feeling I could meet them another time.
"You're a new student, aren't you?" He pointed at me.
"Yes, she is. Headmaster Willson." Responded Elias who approached us. "It's from building 2."
Therefore, he was the school director, looked very strong. I did not think of such a thing. The director of an important institution like a school must be a strong man... I guess.
"Do you practice Aikido, Mr. Wilson?" I asked.
"How did you know? Are you telepath...
"I'm not telepathic, but the move you just performed is an Uchi move in Aikido.
"Oh!" He laughed. "Are you interested in martial arts?"
"Yes." I nodded.
"Okay kid, I have a rule; if something is wrong, go complaint to Elias first and if you don't find him, come at me. The same thing works vice versa," he explained.
"Oh God, what a fist! Did you have to be so violent Mr. Willson," complained Donald?
"You could have killed us," Diego added.
"Forgive me, guys! I think I got carried away!" The director laughed.
"It's getting late! Come, Aida. I am accompanying you to your room," announced Elias and took the way inside the second building.
We passed the first building as he called it and went to the second building. We stopped in room 101. Lords! What a room... It was dirty and everywhere were pieces of paper, metal stuff, laboratory equipment, which looked like torture devices and most recently weapons.
"Oh, Lords! Help me to survive in this academy," I prayed to whoever wasn't too busy to listen.
"Pff, do you consider this a prayer? See how it should be done." And he adds with a solemn voice. "Dear Lords! I want to be able to control Austin, William, and Eduard; keep them away from any trouble, so I and the student council will stay at ease... This is a prayer, Aida."
He introduced me to the rules of the school, the classes and the gym. He explained that at school we had many students with "special skills" whom I shouldn't mess with."
I did not understand this very well, but I did not care much.
"The last thing. In any way, do not mess up with Austin, William, and Eduard." Elias stated.
"Are they on the list of those with "special skills" students, whom I shouldn't mess up?"
"Yes, especially these..."
He handed me the uniform, the schedule, and we split.
The uniform for the boys was as Elias dressed up earlier, without that funny ribbon. While the girls' uniform was like that of the boys only instead of the gray trousers, it was a gray end and bushy gait. The uniform was complete with a pair of white shoes that were low on the shoulder.
Tomorrow will be the first day at Gabriel Academy. I am hardly waiting.

The room looked more like an apartment than a dormitory room. It had a bedroom, a bathroom, and an annex. The bedroom had two bunk beds, so there were some roommates. I believe we will do well.
I place my suitcase in a vacant wardrobe and choose the upper bed when I overheard some voices.
"Eduard, come on now, help me a little." I overheard a laughing voice that woke me up of sleep. "We're friends, right?"
"I do not think I can help when you can not solve a simple equation." I heard a deep, glamorous voice.
"Eduard, I do not like to wait," muttered another, yet threatening voice. "So give me your answer."
"William, if you order me again, I swear I will kill you," said the deep voice.
Voices were approaching more and more, when I heard a door opening, I waited in bed. A silence invaded when all three boys (I suppose.) came into the room. I'm pretending I am about to sleep.
"Who the hell is this? Why is he sleeping in my bed?" shouted, apparently, the bed owner. I could hear the laughs of two others.
"I can not believe this is happening to William," gushed the boy with a cheerful voice. "I will post it my PageBook..."
"I am not going anywhere, but this guy has to move. Any problem?"
I felt like I was being lifted up and then thrown away.
"Wait," I screamed.
I was sliding off the bed, but fortunately, my reflexes saved me. Surprisingly, I was slowly collapsing whether a force was softening my downfall.
The two boys were looking at me with big eyes as I could compare them with Keane's paintings. By their reaction, I could tell the raven hair was Austin. The tall one with a white hat and indifferent amber eyes was Eduard. The fiery red-haired boy who kicked me out of the bed was Uilliam. I stared them for a moment and get up. As I saw the door opened, I left the room.
"What a strange guy!"
