Last year we were left the great comic book legend Stan Lee, and now we know that one of his latest projects, a novel will come to light this fall, according to "The Guardian".
The book, called "The Trick of the Light", will be published on September 17 and according to the publisher will be "Lee's first adult reader novel", and had been in "manufacturing" for years. According to Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, the book is "full of the thrilling and dizzying adventure and exuberant invention that has defined [Lee's] career as the creative brainbehind the spectacular Marvel universe."
As "Entertainment Weekly" explains, A Trick of Light is a superhero story about the implausible friendship between Cameron, who has the ability to manipulate technology with his mind after a freak accident, and the mysterious hacker and genius of the Nia coding. When physical and online forces threaten the annihilation of the human race, they must combine their powers to save the world.
Lee, who co-created characters such as Spider-Man, X-Men and Iron Man, died last November at the age of 95. Since his death, his former business manager, Keya Morgan, has been arrested on charges of elder abuse, and his daughter has sued her manager and two others for trying to take financial advantage over her.
