A few hours have passed now and I am in my room, plotting. It's late now, so Eros must be asleep. It takes him a lot of effort to make himself invisible. That means that now, while he's sleeping, I will be able to see him.
I grab my phone and turn it onto flashlight mode. I silently creep down the hallway and into the room of my husband. I shine my makeshift flashlight around and the light falls onto the picture of me on his bedside table.
I feel a twinge of guilt as I stare at it. Would he really have that picture of me if he didn't love me? I shake my head, pushing back those thoughts. It's too late to rethink my actions now, I'm already here.
I shine the light onto the sleeping man's face and see not a monster or any other kind of ghastly creature, but an incredibly handsome man. The most handsome man I've ever seen, actually.
He looks familiar, but I can't place where I've seen him before. I shine my phone light a little lower so I can see his body and notice his wings. As I realize just who this handsome winged man is, I drop my phone, startled as I am.
Unfortunately my phone lands on my lover's face. He wakes up and sees me there, staring at him. He leaves the room, looking betrayed and wounded. I run after him, calling his name. "Eros! Eros, wait! Come back!"
But I am not fast enough, for as I'm opening the front door to follow him outside he looks back at me and says "Love dies when there is not any trust." Then he flies off into the darkness, leaving me standing there heartbroken.
