"Really, it seems they have a plan to get more than just poses," I told her.
“We just need to get them to our panel to see my brother,” whispered Violet as she looks over at one of our bodyguards and motion him to us. This kind of let the fan-boys back off a little, “Take Sherri back to the panel and bring my brother here.”
“WHAT!?” Both me and the guy yelled out.
“I’m not leaving you with this big of a group,” I told her and she turned and smile at me...I did not like that smile because I knew what she was going to say.
“Did you take your meds today?” she asked with that same tone as the school nurse.
“Ugh,” I did a face to show my discomfort and she lightly pushed me towards Vic’s friend.
“You need to go back there anyway,” she playful said as she waved me off and went back into character.
“Don’t worry, James is there to keep a eye on her while we get Vic,” he said to me with a light smile.
“Yeah, thanks,” I said looking up at him and we head back to the artist alley.
As we walk towards the Slade table, Vic walked past us while giving me a wink, and walked out the door. It seems he is going to rescue his sister from his fan-base. I let out a little laugh and turned back towards the table when I saw two guys standing in front of the stand. As I got closer I notice it was the boys from yesterday, the one with the bandages on his face looks at me, and his face lights up. I smiled back at him and I put my hand on the taller one whose back was turned away from me. He turns to face me, I smiled, and he grins back at me.
“You guys fans of Slade?” I asked and they both nodded in excitement.
“Yeah, he really helped us with his storytelling and character developments,” answered the one in bandages as I walked behind the table and removed the “Be Right Back,” sign.
“Do you know him?” said the taller one.
“Yeah, he is my friend’s older brother,” I told them, “He told you about a sister before he left right?”
He nodded.
Crap! Did I forget their names already!? One starts with a E and Kio...is that right? Then I heard a sound and looked up at both them, they were looking at each other, and the taller one looked back at me like he did something wrong. I looked down to their hands seeing that they got the new poster prints from Vic.
“It seems he gave you two his new prints,” I said.
“Yeah, he was telling us about his new novel about Slade’s highschool years,” E said happily.
“Yes, I can’t wait either,” I answered as I looked past them seeing Vic and Violet coming over to the table.
“Sherri, I’m glad you got away,” Violet said as I walked over to her.
“Yeah, thanks for pushing me into your brother’s bodyguard there by the way,” I said sarcastically as I fix her bow around her neck, “You knew I would’ve fought them off for you, so you got rid of me.”
“I didn’t want you messing up your cosplay, even though those fans would have loved getting their butts kicked by AngelGale,” she giggled.
“And I bet you would have recorded it to promote the comic even more,” I comment back as she did a rich girl laugh with her right back hand near her mouth.
“Um...”
We both looked and saw E holding up his phone, “Can we take a group picture?”
“Pictures!” Vic excitedly walked over to them, “Hell yeah!”
We circled Kio since he was the tallest, E and vic were on both his sides, and Violet stood in front of Vic sticking out her tongue with her sword pointed at his neck. I got in front of Kio and place my fist lightly on his chin and did Gale’s angelic smile. The bodyguard took some photos of us doing different poses, I bet it made both Kio and E happy. Afterwards both of them were looking at E’s phone, E had said something to Kio and Kio turned red.
“Are you okay?” I asked while I walked over to a cooler taking out a bottle of water.
“Yeah, not good with taking pictures,” he said as he takes the bottle away from me.
“Hey RiRi, can you give me one of those?” a voice came from behind and I saw E jump forward.
It was Decon carrying a lot bags and was sweating. I grabbed my chair and a bottle of water, then I sat the chair up and handed him the water.
“Thanks,” he said while staring at me, “Having fun? Any problems?”
“Nah just your normal group of fans geeking out of seeing their favorite characters,” I answered casually, “but I’m having fun.”
He then looks at E, “Hey calm down, I’m not here for you,” He took a slip of water, “And I thank you for the ticket again.”
“Oh those Idols are here, um the Kwi Kattz right?” I asked and he winked at me.
“Yeah, the debut of their newest member was today,” Decon drools, “She has me under her spell with those dark yellow eyes.”
I looked ahead to E who seem to look uneasy, “You do know they are the Maids for todays Cafe special?”
Decon jumped out of his chair, “Really!?”
“They had posters up around the lunch area to come to the third floor cafe and to be severed by Kwi Kattz in maid outfits.” I said pointing my thumb behind me.
“Good looking out,” as he walked past me giving me a playful punch. He then looks at E and Koi, “Look out for her.”
E nodded looking down and Decon sighed, “Talk to me like you always do, Hyun. Did you lose your nerve yesterday?”
E looks up and smirked, “Nah I just didn’t want to lay my eyes on your ugly mug.”
Decon did a little chuckle and heads towards the stairs to the cafe.
I walked over to E and Kio while rubbing the back of my neck, “Sorry that I made you uncomfortable while talking to him; I was trying to send him on his way as fast as possible.”
“No need to apologize,” E said while waving his hands in front, “He seems like a different person around you, it felt like I was in another world.”
“Tell me about it,” laughed Kio.
“That’s what happens when you grew up with each other and still are neighbors,” I told them, “When both of them start going down the wrong path, I....”
I paused, flashes of my past went though my mind. I still remember their faces when they found me, James was screaming at me while holding my hand, and Decon was looking on my phone seeing all the bragging the girls were doing on Twitter. I felt a hand on my shoulders and I snapped out of it. I turned to see Violet giving me a little worrisome smile and I shook my head. As soon I began to return to normal, my phone rang and without looking I answered the call.
"Hello," my face must have turned sour because everyone looked at me with concerned faces, "But I'm here with some friends, did you forgot I'm at a convention today?" I started to paced around, "What does HER being upset have to do with me?"
"Dad, you know we can't stand each other even after that event," I said while putting my other hand on my hip. "Mom? Yes...Okay tonight, thank you," I sighed after hanging up.
