(PS - Words or sentences in "italics" represents Kavya's thoughts and feelings at that moment.)
What...just...happened!
My pounding heart almost bounced out, as it was already behaving crazy from his act of fondling my waist. Kavya, he kissed you, he can do more, do something. I was melting but the moment I realized what he did, I tried to take his hands off me. Leave me, I'm applying all my energy but not even a muscle moves, plus he's smiling at me. Even after struggling a lot, I failed, as he decided not to leave me, at all. Instead of that he gently pushed me towards the wall and clenched my hand. His eyes flared with some kind of passion and he came closer as much as he could. Wwwwhaaaattttt-totooo---dodoo....
"Don't run away from me." His voice appeared honest to my ears.
Girl, he is not human.
"Wha-What are you?" These were the only stammering words, managed to come out of my mouth. Instead of replying he just glanced and smirked.
"I'm here to...love...you." He whispered in his lascivious-voice. He just said he is here to love, right, as in make love to me, as in having sex!
He wants to love me, Aw!
Hrrr, shut up, this is serious, okay.
"What!" I swallowed hard. My heart officially stopped with excitement and my brain went on its panic mode, collecting all the negative outcomes of this situation.
"You heard correct. I'm here to make love to you, my sugary-heart."
Sweetheart, really? He is not even a Homo Sapiens!
He called me sweetheart, aw!
He got closer and my breath became deafening. "You shouldn't have come to Bhangarh." He whispered again but again sounded romantic to my heart. Can't help this mad heart's insane fantasies...God!
"Eh..."
"Now I'm not gonna let you go anywhere." He brought his lips closer. I can't let this happen. Before he could have touched me again, I pushed his face away with both my hands using all my strength. I sprinted inside and locked the door immediately. Victory! I lowered my head and slightly turned to find him. As it was a glass door we could still see each other. He wasn't mad at all but glared back lovingly, carrying a crooked smile, maybe on my sudden panic reaction.
"I'll come again, my love." I read his lips then giving a flying-kiss, he flew away. I was expecting that kind of reply.
He was gone for sure but I was still stuck on that sliding-glass. "What the hell, just happened with me!
Was it my imagination or a living reality? Who knows!
Why he came here?
Why he said I shouldn't be here?
How he knows me?
And on the top of all, what is he?"
I sat on my comforter and it was vibrating...no, it wasn't the bed but me, shaking in fear. "His touch was so intensive! But how could I like it...he wasn't even human? He shared his toxic-intentions literally, still why I'm not ready to accept that he was noxious." Why?
After all these, it was impossible for me to fall asleep, to be precise, to stay inside that room. So, I came out and dawdled around the corridors. Suddenly, I discovered someone coming out of Advik's room. He was a short-height, less-muscular, average-looking-guy. He wasn't in servant uniform and there was no one in the house, so he was definitely a thief.
Without wasting any time, I rushed and clenched his hand, tightly.
"Who are you? What were you doing inside his room?"
"I'm not a thief, Kavya." He sounded polite.
Hearing my name, my grip loosened automatically. What the crab is happening over here...nearly everyone knows everything about me.
"How do you know me? Who are you?" I left him.
"It's my master's room. I'm Virendra." He gave a welcoming smile.
Master uh..? So that Royalty believes in slavery too.
"You won the contest, right."
So he knows this too. Great!
It ought to be on the Palace notice-board.
I nodded.
"That's how I know you."
"Master...?" I dug into his-life. I was dead sure she is going to ask that question.
He smiled maybe on my silliness. "Chote-Hokum is my master. You can assume me as his personal butler." He was proud being a helot. Wow!
"Okay." Phew! He isn't a thief. "So you're allowed to get inside his room. Uh?"
"Yes, only me..." He chuckled this time.
Why only him? Does he have an extra pair of wings or something or maybe only slaves were allowed into his room.
Please don't think about wings right now.
"Okayyyyy..."
"Why are you still awake? Is anything troubling you?"
Yes, yes come, I'll tell you the whole tale, won't I?
"No. Nothing, I wasn't feeling sleepy so I decided to take a walk." Obviously I was unable to share the actual fact that a non-human like thing kissed me. Plus I was more cheered up about the whole thing than fearful. How I can even try to tell anyone that a blood-eyed man with feathery-wings wanted to get intimate with me. Ha-ha! It's a real world who's gonna believe that such fantasy-shit could happen in reality.
"You seem worried. Do you wanna talk?"
Yes, I am. Please talk with me, I really can't return back to that room, mute mouthed.
Shut up, we can't trust him.
"I don't know."
"Come, we'll sit on the stairs. If you don't want to talk, it's fine. I'll talk and you listen." He said friendly.
I didn't wanna be alone at that moment and it was a great deal so we sat there.
"So how was your first day in college?" He started casually. Wow, great question. I looked at him as if I was taunting him for asking that question and he was confused.
"Oyo don't ask anything. It was quite a day."
"Why? What happened?"
I don't trust you.
"Nothing." I looked down scratching the side-skin of my thumb with my index finger-nail. He is a stranger how I can open up too soon.
"I know you might be thinking, how you could share anything with a stranger, right."
I nodded honestly. Was that written on my face?
He giggled. "That's impressive. It's really hard to find honesty in this world. I've been with my master for a while now. He saved me when I was injured. So I devoted my whole-life to him."
"Injured?"
"I got into a fight and it got dirty." He seemed embarrassed.
"O, I see." Yeah saving people is like Advik's primary job, I presume.
"He's nice. He's like a blessing in disguise."
Hmm...so he really admires his Master, that's sweet.
Kavya, you are smiling again.
NO.
YES!
I'm simpering just by his remembrance. What is happening to me, Shiva?
"I could agree on this one, completely. He's indeed a really nice guy, no doubts about it." My experience was speaking.
"How...?"
But I didn't reply anything.
He chuckled again. "We can be friends. I promise I'm never gonna fall for you."
"How can you be so sure? I know this 'love' comes between every boy-girl friendship. I've experienced it earlier, okay." Yeah I'm referring to my best buddy.
He chuckled gleefully. "But I'm sure as I'm already committed."
"Committed?"
"Yes, I'm a one-woman-creature and she's the one." He showed me the face of a cute girl placed inside the heart-shaped couple-locket around his neck.
Ok, carrying his woman's photo with him, every single day and keeping it close to his heart. It may seem old fashioned but man, you have definitely earned by trust.
"Oh, she's so pretty. You're a very lucky man."
"I really am." He glared at her, moving his fingers on the photo.
Aww he really adores her, how sweet.
"I think now you can share your burden. You can see me as your big brother."
You are a nice person.
I smiled and nodded, blinking softly. "Today he took my side in front of everybody. He said such things which I haven't share with anyone, ever. He was so accurate about my life as if he'd lived with me, felt those things with me. I was somewhere angry with him as I heard him say that he didn't want me to stay here. But now that I wanna thank him he's avoiding me."
"Master is one complicated creature, it is almost impossible for anyone to predict his actions. But you have to keep faith in him, as there is always a valid reason behind his decisions. Maybe you heard half of the conversation and came on full-conclusion that he doesn't like you. It's also possible that his statement might have nothing to do with you." He really had a point. Maybe he was trying to say something else. Maybe he didn't mean his words intentionally. I'm a fool.
"Maybe you're right. I never thought this way."
"On the other hand, being rude is a part of his profession." A mysterious smile came on his face.
"His profession...?" So he's not just a Royal-Prince or a savior or an artist, he is more.
Interesting!
He giggled. "You'll know." Oh I hate suspense from the beginning itself.
"There're a way more bodyguards & weapons than yesterday."
"Last night, we were out to complete a task with master."
Task with Master! What does that mean? "I don't understand anything."
He sneered mockingly. "You'll, soon." He maintained the suspense.
"You should go get some sleep, it's too late now." He added in a caring tone before I could have asked anything else which I would have surely asked if he wouldn't stand up.
"Yes, you're right." I wanted to know more but never mind.
"Sleep well, good night."
When he left, I saw a gun in his back pocket. I wondered what kind of profession would need to have a gun. Maybe they all work for CBI or some secret-intelligence sort of something. On the basis of his ill-bred nature, Prince must be a federal-officer at a high post.
I came back into my room and jumped inside my blanket. "Each day here, is going like some adventurous-journey on Everest." I sighed closing my eyes and got ready to sleep. Ooh no, not again! What the hell?
"Those horrific voices again, here too, shit."
Sometimes, I experience some noises in the middle of the night, as if a lot of people gloomily-crying together, which makes me feel no positivity around me. Though, it seems they're calling me but, somewhere deep inside I know, it's just a trap. If I follow, it will harm me.
I sat cupping my cheeks, putting both elbows on the pillow placed on my lap. Earlier in Indore, someone practiced violin, which used to vanish this piercing sound. Normally I hear it once or twice in a month but, sometimes the overall number count could be more. I took my cell phone and got ready to stay awake all night, as my secret-angel wasn't going to play that instrument in Bhangarh. I hadn't completed that thought yet and that same melodious music fell into my ears.
Violin, how is it even possible?
"This music is, as usual...so blissful, so relieving and so soothing to my heart. I'm relieved, I feel free from all the fears."
But who is playing that? That too here?
"Shut up and sleep."
I scolded my mind, as I was too tried to play detective-detective at that time, plus I didn't want to loose this comforted feeling. "Whoever you are, thank you so much."
Finally, I buried all my thoughts of finding the source and slept quietly, thanking the musician.
To be continued.....
