Hello everyone! I’m Andre Pierce, a 24-year-old, head chef working for a 4-star high-end restaurant. Among my friends and family, I am known to play RPG to ease my stress from my 12-hour daily work shift. And I am damned good at it! Or so, I proclaimed…
Somehow, I’ve transmigrated into a world where reality seems to have the same function as a typical RPG game… I still don’t know how I got here but seeing as how I have a new body and this obnoxious voice in my head calling himself an almighty holy beast, is now telling me… that I’m a 7-year-old Prince.
Who the hell would believe this?!
***
Drei’s jaw hit the ground trying to process what was said. How the hell am I supposed to accept this?! Not only have I become a 7-year-old-lost-boy, I’m also a prince!
“WAIT! If I’m a prince, why am I dressed like this and why am I here by myself?”
“That’s because… I also don’t know! Teehee~”
“Oi! If you don’t know, just say you don’t know! Don’t pique my expectation and say “teehee” at the end!”
Drei sat down on the ground with his legs and arms crossed, brooding. At this very moment, he can’t help but be annoyed. “Why the hell would a 7-year-old prince be alone in this place?! What kind of kingdom allows their young prince unattended and lost???”
“My silly master, why not trying to recall your body’s memories?”
Drei’s brows formed a knot, it’s not like he didn’t think of that. In fact, he had been thinking how great it would be if he is able to recall the memories of his new body. But is it even possible? If there’s a possibility to it, he should have been able to get an inkling the moment he woke up, but there was none.
He didn’t want to ask Mors, but it seems like he’ll have to depend on the obnoxious beast that selfishly occupied his consciousness.
“Say, Mors… is there a way for me to be able to recall this body’s memories… like a chant, perhaps?”
Mors’ childlike giggle resounded in his head. It’s a giggle anyone would find adorable, however, at this moment it provoked his patience instead… “Is there a way or not?!”
“Hehe… of course there’s a way! Don’t worry master, I’ll help you. After you say ‘please, help me.’”
This annoying beast! Just you wait… I’ll get back at you. Definitely!
Drei took a deep breath and relaxed his shoulders. He cleared his throat with a small cough as his tiny little fist covered his mouth. If he was not in a desperate situation, he would never allow himself to do what he’s about to do. With an innocent smile and a gentle voice, he spoke his plea.
“Almighty beast Morsvita, please, help me.”
Mors giggled merrily for a good while as the corners of Drei’s mouth start to twitch. He cleared his throat loudly with a cough and the obnoxious beast started to chant. “Thou shalt not forget… Yesterday fell for a new day, open thine eyes and recall...”
Suddenly, short-clips-like-scenarios started rushing through his head. Memories after memories started pouring in fast-paced. Even memories of the body’s birth that is normally not imprinted in a normal human being’s memory has been clearly remembered. It’s not something anyone would want to remember either.
People’s faces, names, pets, knowledge, emotions and even the unnecessary are all remembered. Drei is now able to call himself a prince as it doesn’t feel unusual anymore. Being called the 3rd Prince of Alistaire, he is now able to turn around without feeling wronged.
A pang of headache followed by dizziness made his body plop down, lying flatly on the ground. When the memory of yesterday became more vivid, the terror and strong emotions suddenly rushed into him.
Apparently, due to an excursion, as he was looking over a bush of medicinal herbs, he saw an unusual white rabbit with an emerald orb on its forehead. He tried to catch it and ended up following it around that he got separated from his retinue.
The rabbit lured him deep into the forest, when a pack of vicious gray wolves showed up. The white rabbit was able to escape, but he was surround.
Though, filled with fear, he took out his sword and started swinging at the wolves pathetically until he saw an opening. He took advantage of the wolves’ cautiousness and ran as fast as he could, escaping from the pack.
Running straight without looking back, he suddenly tripped and fell down the cliff, such cliché. He has been unconscious since.
Remembering the incident caused his body to writhe in pain. His body is covered in cold sweat. As his nerves calmed, he slowly sat himself up as he wiped his sweat-dotted forehead. Mors casted a comfortable wind magic making him refreshed and sweat-free. “So that’s what happened…”
After remembering everything he couldn’t help but feel something is wrong with the situation. How was it possible for his retinue to be so useless?
He was able to lose them just by trying to catch a rabbit, someone of his status, it’s unusual to have a retinue to be careless and let a 7-year-old prince get lost. If anything happened to him the one who would be on the chopping block would be them. Unless… someone gave them the confidence to not care.
It’s been more than 10 hours since he got separated and he is still not found. The royal family would never hire useless people to serve them. The smell of scheme wafted through, and a realization came through. Someone is after him.
Why and who would be shameless enough to scheme on a 7-year-old kid?
Without a clue and unable to understand what the hell is going on… He can’t help but understand that he’s helpless.
There’s a limit to how much he can do since he’s still young. The lack of exposure from knowing and getting a hold of information about the royal family’s business is not impossible, but who would believe that a child would understand anything. No one will tell him anything for sure.
He’s completely ignorant of anything around him.
There’s only one thing he can do now and that is to become strong. Get strong that no one would question him despite his age and get a proper authority as a prince of Alistaire.
New Goal: Be a badass kid!
Thinking this far, with an exasperated sigh, Drei reached for the black book. He pried the book open only to find out that he can’t.
“Why is it so tightly shut?”
He played around with it some more, but it still won’t budge.
“How am I supposed to learn this skill book?”
He slammed the book to the ground with frustration, when a sound of an angry growl invaded the surroundings. He hurriedly reached for the book and hugged it… “Ah! I’m sorry little book, I won’t slam you to the ground ever again!”
Mors: …….
Suddenly, slow heavy steps can be heard. “Master! Be careful!”
Drei’s body hunched slightly due to some unknown pressure. He looked to his left and saw a giant, red-eyed, gray wolf with a silver armor and helmet walking toward him. The red gem in the middle of its head shining brightly as a pop-up suddenly appeared.
