Kanemi walked through the front gate of the school on the last day of school and nearly stepped on two kids that stood in front of him. they were almost identical with red hair and green eyes. One was obviously a girl with her long hair hanging loosely around her shoulders. the other one was a boy, he had his hair cut short around his ears. The girl stood up tall with her head raised as if challenging Kanemi to underestimate her. On the other hand, the boy was slouched over staring at the screen of his phone as if he wished he could blend in with the rest of the crowds of students leaving.

Neither of them moved out of the way, so Kanemi tried to walk around them but they moved to the side blocking him. Kanemi frowned. "What do you want?" The girl relaxed a bit as she spoke, "you're Yuu's friend right?" Kanemi startled at this question and avoided the girl's eyes. "I thought we were but something happened and he started avoiding me."

"Hm. I was right." The girl spoke but at this point, she had completely relaxed and she seemed more like a normal twelve-year-old girl. "Come with us, there's something about Yuu that you might want to know."

Not having anything better to do and more than a bit curious about how these kids knew Yuu Kanemi fallowed them. They walked to a nearby park and sat down at a picnic bench in the shade of a large tree. "So you're Kanemi?" the girl said. Kanemi nodded hesitantly. "My name is Cunemi and this is Comewa, my twin brother," she said pointing at the boy who had yet to look away from his phone screen."

"So first, how do you two know Yuu?" Kanemi asked. Cunemi sighed. "About fourteen years ago our grandparents adopted Yuu from an orphanage. Our mother is Yuu's adoptive big sister." Kanemi nodded and decided that it made sense. Maybe the reason he moved out was so that he wouldn't trouble the people who adopted him. Kanemi asked the second question that had been nagging him. "You said there was something that I might want to know about Yuu, what did you mean by that?" Cunemi tilted her head back and stared up at the sky for a moment then looked back at Kanemi. "I guess I should probably start at the very beginning."
