It is the night of the first battle, the first deployment of the 420,000 soldiers is tonight. Their lives shall be decided by sunrise.
Zaire waves bye to his dad, who is driving away in a carriage.
Zaire: “Why does dad have to leave?”
Mom: “Your dad has been given a great honor.”
Zaire: “What honor do you keep talking about?”
Mom: Zaire, your dad is one of 420,000.
Zaire: One day, I’ll fight with dad! We’ll kill all the Afreets!
Zaire's mom laughs.
Mom: Honey, its late, head to bed.
Zaire goes back inside and his mom is left alone.
The moonlight glistens on her face and tear rolls down it, for she knows the already possible outcome of her husband leaving.
We now see Zaire, a locket appears in his hand.
A red spark flickers from the locket and embraces Zaire’s body.
Zaire then suddenly wakes up, sweat running down his face, his heart beating extremely fast!
Zaire: “What a terrible dream!”
*Zaire turns and sees a locket on his nightstand. He picks it up and holds it in his hand”
Zaire: Who’s is this?
As Zaire holds the locket, he hears a deep voice from outside his room.
Zaire gets off his bed and walks over to his door and proceeds to open it, he then walks down the hallway and sees his mom and six soldiers.
His mom turns to him, there are tears running down her face.
Mom: Zai-*voice breaks*.
Zaire: What’s wrong Mom?
Mom: Y-your dad has passed away. T-the afreets killed him.
Zaire: Dad?....... Afreets?
Zaire drops the locket in his hand, as it hits the floor, the top pops open, inside is a self-portrait of his dad.
A tear doesn’t roll down Zaire’s face.
Zaire is too angry to cry.
